Yes. Yes and Yes.

If you recall, I'm just as light as you, but I pull pink. Alezane pulled brown on me. But I love Golden Sun (light hand though) and have used the highlighting blush daily since buying it.

Ahhhhhh I am so easily convinced! They're both in my cart now! I made an order earlier of some essentials so I might think about it for a day or two (ooooooooooor order it tonight, who the heck knows)

@starletta8 how does golden sun pull on you? I want a glowy blush but not really sure how it compares to jersey/alezane/other shades near it.

Alezane was too much of an orangey brown- I chatted with a Chanel SA who had the same issue. Give me a few minutes, I'll try to swatch them.

@laurennnxox: These illustrate two big things I complain about.

1. My indoor lighting is literally the worst ever. Everything looks orange/brown. These are NOT true to life.



So, I went outside. There's flat, overcast light today. These are more true to life. Coups de Minuit is that light- remember, I'm Chanel BR12/Bobbi Brown Alabaster/Tom Ford Cream/old Burberry Trench 02 (the uber pink one)/ MAC NW15 is a little dark but workable. I'm really, really pink.





You can see how everything turns brown on me! Everything except CdM. It's very similar to NARS Copacabana in the tube on my skin. All swatches but the sheered were done with picking up blush with my finger; I used the Chanel blush applicator for the sheered.

IRL, I use a fluffy brush for a wash of brown/nudey/golden sheen.

Great swatches, thank you! That definitely affirms my decision for at least golden sun. I'm currently obsessed with golden/yellow highlights so I'm not sure I'd reach for CdM as much. I'm really fair, but I think I lean more neutral.

No problem! This also shows everyone why I don't swatch often- lighting is sketchy at times, and things color shift on me.

CdM is pink pulling silver rather than gold, so it may not be one you reach for. Golden Sun is something you need; I adore CdM but don't know if it'll be what you're looking for if you're looking for warm-toned highlights.

I just placed my birthday order with lord and taylor (New York) over the phone. It was 10% off! no tax and free ship!!' I got the lipsticks in rouge noir and la merv, rouge noir pencil, or saffron pencil and my staple hand cream. The SA also said that hopefully the quad will come in soon as in a day or two , she took my name for a waiting list and will do the 10 % if it does. :bump:
