Chanel Rouge Noir Absolument - Holiday 2015

  I'm meh about the quad, wearing it today. Like it a lot better with the IDO layered on top. The Quad is just a collectors thing. It's not bad but did not blow me out of the waters so to speak.

That's exactly how I've been thinking about it. Hopefully I'll get it soon so I can try it out and see if that changes.

So after stalking the website for hours today (and a month before that

), I was finally able to place an order for the quad, RN liner, RN NP and the Lame top coat

The IDO isn't up yet but I'll buy it tomorrow, when I go to collect my order - I obviously can't wait until Monday for a delivery

That's just great Maggie. I also got the top coat---it creates a lovely but subtle affect on the polishes from this collection. I think I like it best on Rose Fusion
so far but I've yet to try it on the original Rouge Noir NP that I have.

I think you'll enjoy the IDO---it's my fav item in the collection.

I didn't get Rose fusion - shades like this don't work on my complexion - but I think the top coat will look great over black or over RN

I'm really excited about the IDO! I feel like a kid before Christmas - it's 5 pm and I just want to go to sleep, so I can get them sooner

I'm reserving final judgement until I wear it again. I wore it yesterday and I was hurried so my creative juices were stagnant. The look was smoky. I think I can do more
with it when I have more time.

Finally out in the UK! I was in a rush (had a difficult class test and just wanted to get home), so I breezed in and out - and got Rouge Noir. I realised I got the white CC one and I actually love the colour so much I'll be going back for the red CC one when I do my *real* hauling.

Finally received the quad today along with the RN liner, RN mascara, the Or Safron liner, rose fusion and the Lame topcoat. Or Safron is soooo pretty and goes on so smoothly. Haven't tried the other items yet except Rose Fusion NP. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow, my indoor lighting is making my fingers come out red. The color of the NP is so unique, it's hard to appreciate in the bottle. Oh yeah, I purchased Vamp too, and somehow I ordered two of them by mistake. Looks like someone is getting one for Christmas!

My quad and the Rouge Noir Illusion D'Ombre just arrived. I have received a hockey-puckish (not like some I've seen photographed here, but not right either) IDO. I am not happy. Was there ever a consensus about these? Do they get worse? Should I send it back to Chanel.com? You can see that I swatched it there toward the bottom. Quality seems okay, but I am frustrated at the appearance.

The quad is going back. While the pigmentation on the dark burgundy-brown shade is excellent, the level of pigmentation on the other three colors is not as good. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer on this, but I can't justify keeping the quad for one color!

I have a major case of the sads over this.

Thank you, Icecaramellatte. I've never returned anything to Chanel.com! I always love everything. Now I'll be returning two products, and I guess it's only right to return the samples they included too. And I was right in the middle of giving myself a manicure with Malice when my items came, anticipating a wonderful look for an out of town trip tomorrow.

I had the same reaction to the quad. Mine was actually damaged and I decided not to return but not exchange it. But I am loving the Khol and also the Rouge Double Intensite and la Merv-- very different haul from what I had planned but it's working for me.

It's such a shame re the quad. I hope it works for others. I adore the Rouge Double Intensites! I've been wearing them for years. My current fav is Strawberry Red which I especially love with Tom Ford's Nude Dip Palette. Cool colors are my friend. I have been eyeing Chanel's La Merv. I believe it's lighter and brighter than La Romanesque which I have from Spring, isn't it?

So sorry you've had this experience. Unfortunately it has happened on occasion and shouldn't look like that at all. I'm sorry you had to go through that and hope you
plan to exchange it for another.
