I hate to say it, but we BOTH need it lol. Thanks for posting! I bought the bronzer brush with the Epic Rewards giftcard. I like but its very dense, which can make application heavy. I wish it was a pick 3 brush mix and match deal!

haha! :D Well I always covet that bronzer brush every time I am at Sephora, so that is a good deal. I definitely wish it was mix and match - I would get the new foundation brush instead of the blush brush.

Anyway I caved and ordered it.

I think that was the brush set he brought out for Black Friday. I'd say go for it if you were ever after the bronzer brush! It's showing as unavailable for me but it may come back in stock. He's doing free overnight shipping with the code SHIPHOLIDAY, too!

Yes, I just was watching videos on the set and someone said it was a Black Friday special. Because of your code - I ordered it. :D topcashback has 8% CB for MJ beauty.. but it says if you use a code - it invalidates it, so I am not sure if I will get it since I used the overnight shipping code. I had another code that gave me a free lipgloss or something?? but when I put in the shipping code - it kicked out my freebie lipgloss, but that's okay. I would rather get fast shipping than a mini gloss.

temptress

To be fair, I only needed a tiny nudge. You guys know me by now - I am practically begging someone to give me an excuse when I post "I don't need it, right?... I am on the edge".. I came back hoping for someone to push me into it. <3 :p

I got he Amoire Pacific trio. I liked that they were different samples from I got before. Thanks!!!

Oh nice! Glad you were able to get it!

I have only seen good reviews about the set! I dont think you will be disappointed!! (these overnight shipping codes are making it hard :D )

So I got 4, the concealer, fan cheek, pointy blush, and wedge sloping powder. I'm not impressed. I don't understand why there were so expensive when released. The hair feels sythetic, the ferrule is plastic, I'm assuming the handle is too. Not bad for this deal, and I already want the pointed powder in a travel size. LOL
we'll see how I feel when I use them.
I've only tried the face masks and liked them. I'll have to try the eye one as well. I'm really into the Dr. Jart+ water-full hydrogel mask - it's like a moisture injection! I have to look see if they have eye masks as well!

LOL!

True. I am getting scared mine won't ship. It is now saying out of stock and I still haven't gotten a tracking #. It just says my order is "confirmed". It is supposed to be overnight shipping. Hmmmmm...

I think they are expensive, because they are hand-made in Japan. Hand cut. Some people on Sephora's site have said they are not as great as regular Hakuho-do brushes.

I bought two of the highlighter brushes, because I was unsure whether I would like the others. I watched a video where they explain you sort of pat and place product down with the brushes, rather than a buffing type motion...and I just wasn't sure I would be able to adjust to that method, so I skipped the other brushes.

I really like the highlighter brush.. it is back in stock.. so two for $38 makes it $19 ea, which is cheaper than a Sigma F35 (my other preferred highlighter brush).

Part because they're hand made and hand cut, part to recoup the cost of R&D, possibly part because it's a collaboration (I'd think Sephora and Hakuhodo would split profits in some way). The prices are close to, or a little more than, the MUFE brushes (also hand made and hand cut with synthetic bristles, though not a collaborative effort), if you want a like for like comparison.

Shape-wise, I think the concealer brush and Fan Cheek have a unique shape compared to Haku's regular range. The concealer brush is about on par, price-wise, with the concealer brushes they do offer, and the cheek brush is cheaper than some and more expensive than others.

The Small Teardrop Highlighter is somewhat close to the G5521BkSL and is only $3 more ($38 vs $35). The large one has four dupes and is cheaper than all of them ($49 vs $88 for the J103, $97 for the S103, $115 for the SJ103, $75 for the B103BkSL). The Wedge Sloping Powder is sort of unique; Hakuhodo have a few brushes that are similarly shaped, but the bristles are longer. The Wedge Sloping Powder is cheaper than all of Hakuhodo's offerings, though ($54 vs $100+).

Another thing is that Hakuhodo doesn't offer purely synthetic face brushes, apart from their flat foundation brushes. Any synthetic bristles are blended with natural fibers. So that's another selling point for their collab with Sephora.

Yay!! I ordered those ones too. Went back and ordered two more of the concealer ones. I have the fan cheek and the small highlighter one from the original release and they are extremely well made. I've washed them and they always return white and no shedding. They are definitely synthetic hairs though, Pretty. That said, I like the fan cheek for multi-use (contour, blush and highlight) but it's not good for lesser pigmented blushes as you'll have to go back in twice more. The small highlighter one works well but I just never remember to reach for it. I much prefer the Sephora #54 brushes and the Wayne Goss #2 which is the best darn brush I've used to apply highlighter!!

Why would that be a selling point? IS that just for ppl who prefer synthetic for natural hair?

thanks for the info and tips! I can't wait to start playing with them... I'm going to go back for the small highlighter.

I got an email from Sephora about the sale starting. VIB Rouge gets an extra 20% off. I ordered the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette. This is a palette that I bought before and retuned because I didnt think it was worth $60. It's on sale for $39 and with the extra 20% it comes to around $32. For 20 shadows, that's a steal.

So what is everyone getting during the sale? I don't think that vice palette will stick around long. I wish the GWen Stefani was on sle.

The Vice 4 was available on Urban Decay's website earlier for $27.30 with free shipping. I had happily skipped it until I saw that! It's sold out now, so hopefully all orders will go through.

It seems fun though! I didn't realize it was for layering....yup, didn't pay attention to the name. I think I would like the effect of the blue one.

I would love to see swatches of what you do with it!

I got my Pantone Rose Quartz today &  :naughty::banghead: I agree with ^^^her review of it. You should read the newest review on Sephora, man does she ever chastise the people that don't like it :rant2::rotfl:

Its the worse texture. It applies like stiff white doughnut powder & I even used just a little bit. And, I hated how my lipsticks looked layered with it. Maybe I need to play more...but I'm not digging it at all. I hated getting it on my other lipstick shades :bootyshake:

I thought it would be a sheer pink ...you know...LIKE ROSE QUARTZ hahahahaha doh!
