If I understand the website correctly, a 2 blush pan insert and a 9 eyeshadow insert (the new one, not the x9 palette) can both fit into a large, correct?

i am not really into cream stuff either and only had 1 before - Hush which is really pretty. Then I loved the idea of this palette and ordered Shell.

One of the women at MAC was wearing a lipstick the other day and it was gorgeous. I bought the lipstick but I seem to recall her saying she was wearing MAC nude lip liner with it. I can't find such a thing. Was there one at some time?

MAC seems to finally get that people want colors that aren't dupes of 5 previously released colors in successive collections.

Of course these collections are planned, what, two years in advance? so the folks at MAC have looked at a whole year's worth of collections and planned for variations.

Now, personally, i'm not a red or pink or orange lipstick guy and i'm not a black eyeliner and mascara guy, so a lot of collections so far this year have been total skips. But i am getting excited for those with unusual lipstick and eye colors.

I think I recall a lip gloss with an inappropriate name so they changed it. This might be it.

Our veteran MAC insider (who no longer posts, sorry I remember her picture but forgot her screen name) said new product development goes in a couple of years of planning. But I don't think all of the collections and releases get planned out that long. I remember rumors that MAC is collaborating with Miley came out when she was seen visiting MAC. Mere months later someone updated that she's doing a couple of Viva Glam lipsticks. Also Kylie Jenner making Whirl popular and subsequent formulation of a Whirl lipstick could not have been forseen 2 years in advance when she was like 15. But I do agree with you that their unusual lipstick and eye colors are exciting.
