So I received the nail polish yesterday and it turns out they did have a reason to call it that, just not the one that immediately comes to mind. The polish is a "Velvet" and it dries to a matte, rubbery looking finish. I like the color on my skin tone a lot but I'm not thrilled with the rubber look. I'll probably wear a shiny top coat over it! The rose polish is a gorgeous color but very sheer. I may try layering that over Pink Rubber.

In fact, it's Velvet. And the Pink looks really more a top coat than a proper polish. Strange choice

The darker pink one looks very sheer. I think I'm going to skip. The more I look at what I have to use already, the more I want something truly special to splurge on. Waiting for all the holiday collections to show up.

Sounds like it lol. I can't believe it. But you like the shade. Well, let me know if you like it after the rose top coat.

Hugs to you too! Hold out for the blush.....

I decided to do one thumb with just PR and the other with Hyperrose Glass over PR for the fun of it. First, I have to say PR is really not very attractive looking if you have any ridges in your nails. I did not use a ridge filler or any other base since I was just playing around but I often don't so I can tell that the finish of PR highlights ridges way more than your average polish.

Then, Hyperrose Glass over PR...meh. Maybe it would look nice over a darker pink.

Bottom line, I can't recommend either polish.

Collection Libre is now available in limited quanitites on chanel.com before it becomes available to the public in late October.
