MAC Items Being Discontinued in 2017

Forgot to get up a discontinued thread for this year! h/t Miss Dynamite's post below (quoted from the 2016 thread).

There's quite a few things that now have the triangle of death on the MAC site, I've seen some lipsticks, lip pencils like Beet and several others, Girl About Town lipglass and several others, a few eyeshadow pans like Gorgeous Gold, Satellite Dreams, Lucky Green, etc. too lazy to write down a full list at the moment.

Some of the products I've listed may be (and are) limited edition ones. There are others on the site with the Triangle of Death that were from LE collections (and labeled as such on the site) that I left off this list.

Signs of Spring lipglass is Underage renamed. I'm guessing that all of the lipglasses will be discontinued eventually so that they can bring out the new ripoffglass that is half the size and a couple dollars more expensive, like the ones we saw with Mariah Carey. Quite a few of the lipsticks were limited edition, I think High Tea, Ramblin Rose, Shy Shine, Swet & Sour and Tangerine Dream are the only ones that used to be permanent. I also noticed that at some point, they got rid of Industrial Pearlglide which I'm quite angry about...I LOVE that eyeliner.

Breathing Fire is perm... Wow MAC, thanks for upsetting me by getting rid of a very wearable pink. Think I should go order from MAC US for my staples and goodbyes.

Thanks for the giggle, Dynamite. But I see where you're coming from, I'm not spending an extra £/$ on a product that has been shrunk and made more expensive. Reminds me of the pigment jar fiasco.

In regards to Vamplify glosses, I spoke to the girls at MAC Covent Garden (I rarely go there unless I'm on a mad hunt for something I miss and I really want to have it). It is a permanent formula, but will be released in collections and so forth. Same with Liptensity. Thought I should clear that up.

I was going to go on a MAC no buy for Spring, but it looks like that's out of the question. Lucky Green and Shy Shine are sold out. Wasn't Breathing Fire permanent a few months ago? They should've discontinued Gold XIXI and Highlights instead.

Gold XiXi is the most pointless lipstick ever, in my eyes. Yes, it's supposed to be a topper... But it is a really shitty topper, even Cloud Gait is a better topper. Should've made that one perm. Haven't bothered with Highlights. From your post [MENTION=82265]Kaidan[/MENTION], I take it that Highlights is a pile of poo too.

Highlights was from the big Spring collection that had a lot of fluid lines, a few pastel eyeshadows (those weren't bad), and a ton of lipsticks that people were disappointed because more than half were lustres like Real Doll (also on the triangle of doom list). The recent frost lipsticks are way better toppers than those two.

I remember swatching Highlights in Selfridges, when that collection (MAC Is Beauty) launched. It was more like a lip balm on me than anything else.

I was one of those people that was disappointed with the lipsticks that were released in the collection, but ended up getting a few of those lipsticks. For me, out of the lustres I got from the collection, Real Doll is a real gem and Notice Me got of compliments. It was those two lipsticks that made me fall in love with lustres again, after the Gospel lipstick fiasco. But agreed, the new frosts are wicked toppers.

Just left the mac counter and picked up all of the Beet and stripdown lip pencils they had in left! Those are two must haves in my arsenal!

So I just went to my MAC store and cleared it of Hover lip liners. I got 6. Think that is enough backups?

i also found Chicory lip pencil, which is not listed on the MAC site anymore, and I got 4 of those. Chicory is perfect for coral lipsticks.
