MAC Fruity Juicy Collection (Summer 2017)

The only thing I like the look of is the powder, but it's only because i like the imprint and the collector in me likes compacts with LE packaging. But in reality I dont need it. First time a summer collection completely underwhelms me. I like that third lipstick in the picture above but I have so many like it.

Same! And I've been getting really bored with MAC lately... been spending my money elsewhere. But I do still have to get OD, maybe Glow With It and maaaybe another Superb because according to T this one is a bit different.

I'm starting to think this might be a big haul for me. But who knows by the time it releases, competition may be stiff. I thought Electric Mandarin sounded familiar from the Oh My Banana eyeshadow palette. I just looked it up and it was a single in the Chris Chang collection.

For those with blue eyes, EM is fantastic. It's very buildable, so you can go for a sheer wash of color or make it really intense. Blue eyes will just pop.

For my taste, it's just ok. It reminds me somehow of a drugstore highlighter. It the outer packaging with the black background that makes it a bit tacky. I like the design on the clear Fix+bottle much better. I will see how it swatches and then decide if I need it. So far, just bronzers for me.

Yeah, I'm still not all that fond of the black background, but I'm a sucker for powders with pretty designs. I still mourn for the Marine Life powder that I tried so hard to get. I might get a few bottles of the coconut Fix+.

Yeah, there's a good chance it might. Might be more of a bronzy blush. If it ends up too bronze, I might just use the other colors only. I'm not sure I'd wanna try to tan again in order to wear it, not after my last 2 month long sunburn.

I like that the fuchsia is less hot and the purple less dark than I thought they would be. May 29 is forever away.

I was expecting Baiana Bronze to be darker than that... there's nothing Medium Deep about that! *eye roll* I just wish for the day MAC will release a summer bronzer in LE packaging that anybody past NC50/NW45 can wear. I swear my regular face powder is darker that those bronzers. Back to just the Fix+ if I even bother with it at all.

Yeah, it's silly that pretty much all of their bronzers are so light, most of them look very similar to me. I really wish there was more to this collection though, blushes and eyeliners would have been great, especially a nice bright pink Fluidline, maybe a touch darker and cooler than Process Magenta.

Yeah, I'm super pale too, probably why trying to tan always ends up really bad for me. I like the collection, but I woulda changed some stuff, it could be better. I really wish I would have liked at least most of the eyeshadows in 1 of the palettes, but I only like 1 in the green, 2 in the bright and 3 in the peach/pink and 5 of those are repromotes.

I really like the look of that last palette! I may just end up picking up a lipstick/cremesheen glass combo and skip everything else tbh.

Hi my dear & oh so wise makeup sage I have a question for you. A friend on here & I have been on the search for that beautiful soft almost nude peach-ish natural looking eye shadow that you see on so many models & the JCrew models. Any suggestions? I have all the MAC nude/peach shades, but I feel like they're missing something.

MAC Guy I wanted to tell you- I thought of you the other day when I dropped my How Beautiful BP and it shattered all over.... I loved that BP and I remember I only bought it because you raved about it. So sad about it's untimely demise
