I'm glad you're enjoying So Close. I nearly wore it today but opted for Plum Attraction instead. A few of my other JC favs are Pink Explosion, Rouge Profound and Malice.
I think all 3 are worth checking out.

thanks - i will check them out. there's a points redemption event at murale on Thursday, so i'll be sure to go to the chanel counter. i normally just spend all my points at nars, so it'll be a bit of a change

What do y’all think of that white lion highlighter? I’m hoping it’ll be similar to the Camelia de plumes from a couple years ago, but the more I see of it the less hopeful I am

I have both and the Lion one is definitely much sheerer. Colorwise they're almost identical, but IMO Camelia has a more mirror-like shine whereas Lion is on the satin side. You can build up Lion to the same intensity as Camelia, however, so if you missed out on Camelia it still might be an ok dupe.

Since TM has it on blast, you will need to be stalking relentlessly to get it if you want it. Love how she’s not giving clear (any?) photo credit again.
I still kinda want the rose gold, but it really doesn’t look all that different from the new perm ones based on the precious few swatches there are. Personally, I do not need to pay an extra $20 for a burgundy case and lion print. I wish there were more images.

I think she tagged two people but I didn't stay on the post very long after seeing her name.

I'm kinda drawn to it because of the design but after the swatches I don't know if it's worth it as I prefer the very fine texture of CT's Filmstar.
I might not even be able to get the thing anyway

This IG says it will be available at Nordies and Chanel. We don't have the permanent ones here yet so I'm up for new Chanel HL or 2, however if I can't get them easily I won't mind at all. I'm delaying forwarding a parcel due to this and want to move along ASAP.

The Nordstrom thing is interesting. The Butterfly whatever account INSISTS she has insider knowledge that it’s coming to them and that she has one (both?) per-ordered. No one else has gotten confirmation of that or has preorders that I’m aware of. When I emailed my Chanel guy at Nordies, he insisted they were not getting it and that it was exclusive to Chanel.com and boutiques. When I emailed him back telling him about my ‘friend,’ he sounded genuinely surprised and said he’d look into it for me. A bit later, he emailed again saying he has spoken with the Chanel Field Manager who reiterated Nordstrom wasn’t getting it. The Butterfly IGer seems pretty certain, and I don’t know her well enough to have an opinion on her credibility, but it would be one heck of a convoluted lie and easy way to lose a customer if my dude or his far up manager are lying.

ETA-I’m pretty sure TM is using the Butterfly IG as her source of info.

It’s SO fishy. I almost wonder if the Butterfly lady just said the new white and rose gold highlighters to her person and her person pre-sold her the new permanent ones? But then I think this chic is savvy enough to notice the price difference?? No clue.

I also saw some post of hers claiming the SAs weren’t telling people/allowing presales because they didn’t know how much stock they would have?! An SA that lies to me loses me as a client no ifs, ands, or buts. Plenty of kind, honest SAs out there who would enjoy my business.

8:20AM ~ Highlighters still available! I totally let myself not be bothered by this possibly being "hunger games!" But I popped over when I saw the email at 8:15ish. Chanel seems to have stocked plenty. I ordered the Rose!
