They also had one that looked just like the 182 when I was in Target...I started to get it...But I have 2 of the 182's and didn't want to spend the money...but it looked so close

Ok I tried the brush today....There is a difference in the feel (of course) But for $7.00 the difference is not significant enough to matter and it gives a good end result...It is really a good brush....For those who use the Revlon Colorstay foundation and hate that it stains your $40+ MAC 187....I would get this because at $7 who cares if it stains....

I would recommend it....I am gonna pick up the 182 dupe when I am there again and give it a try as well.

I love this brush! I've never had a duo fiber brush before, and it's really great. I use it for blush and my MSF.

Studio Tools make really great, super affordable brushes. I have the smudge brush (great for smoking out eyeliner), the angled shadow/liner brush, and the crease/contour brush, which is one of my favorites. I find their eye brushes to be much better than their face brushes, with the exception of the duo fiber. Their kabuki brush was too stiff (I prefer Eco Tools' travel kabuki) and the bristles on the face brush weren't soft enough.

$1.49 mac 187 dupe at Target

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please move if need be.

I was at Target earlier and I happen to find a mac 187 dupe for $1.49. It wasn't the Sonia Kushak line of brushes, I believe it was beauty essentials. It was in the isle with nail polish and nail files etc. It was I believe $6 marked down to $1.49. I picked up a couple and I haven't had a chance to use them. I have both the 187 and the 188 so I purchased this with the thought of using it on others.

By the look and slight feel of the brushes you can tell it's not as dense as the 187 but for less than $2 it would be worth it to try for blushes or mineral makeup.

I remember looking forever for the 187 dupe and could never find one, so if you happen to be at a Target it's defenitly worth checking out.

I picked up one of these a few months ago - LOVE it. It's definitely not as dense as the 187 but for 6 bucks (hell 1.49 now I guess), it's totally worth it. I strongly recommend everyone pick one up!

They're marked down at my Target, too. Didn't pick one up, but if anyone is close to Federal Way, WA you should go while they still have some!

i have the Sonia Kashuk one! I don't have the MAC 187 just yet, but i'm looking for another 187 dupe just as a backup and perhaps even use on other people (for gigs etc).. so might have to check out target and hope it's marked down! (last time i saw them they were $12!!!).. so i'm gonna cross my fingers on this one! thanks for the heads up too!

Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking of getting one from Sonia Kashuks line, but I'll try this if my Target has one.

Re: $1.49 mac 187 dupe at Target

I love that brush! I actually bought one after I left my 187 at an out-of-town friend's house one weekend...she mailed it to me but I needed something to use until it got here and the price on this one definitely fit the bill. I was surprised by its decent quality.

As a sidenote, I love this brush with the new mineralize spf 15 creme foundation. It's a bit smaller & shorter than the 187 so the shape is perfect for foundation application.

I like this brush too-the SK one is really floppy and all over the place- better for blush imo.. but this one is nice for foundation too.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the target Studio Tools Dual-Stippling brush! i own a mac 187 and my 187 sheds like dog. it's so frustrating every time i use it to apply my studio sculpt foundation i have to pick off the brush fibers off my face. maybe i just got a defective 187
th_dunno.gif
.

the target stippling brush is amazing tho. its more densely packed bristles works perfectly with a thicker gel-based foundation like the mac studio sculpt. i own 2 of the target brushes and i wanted to buy 1 more because i heard it went on clearance for ~ $3.50 this past week. i searched 5 different targets in las vegas and it's sold out everywhere. i hope it's not being discontinued because it's on clearance & can't be found anywhere.

dear target, please restock on these brushes!!

This brush just went clearance at my Target. Not quite that cheap yet. We still have a few left. Just convinced my sister to get one.

Re: $1.49 mac 187 dupe at Target

Im def gonna look for this, would like to try it with blush. I currently use my mac 187 for highlighting, and i find my sonia kashuk doesn't pick up much blush.

I haven't tried this brush yet. I don't own a 187 but I've heard that this brush is similar. I bought 2 on clearance this weekend at Target for $1.74 each.
