? about the lip stains

Has anyone tried these yet? Are they similar to benetint liquid or are they actually a heavier gel? I am not really feeling this collection too much except for the lip stains, but I don't want them if they are goopy.

LOL,.. Shawna I remember when you were wishing for lip stains back when Twirltone and Spin Pink came out at Nordies,... I hope you like them. I wish there were more pics of them here before I go on Friday. I feel the same way,.. if they are goopy,.. I'll get of cheaper this haul.

i've never tried benetint, but the stains are a gel.

whats the finish like, a matte or a gloss?

i'm one of those individuals who always have some sort of chapstick or gloss on. when i tested them out at MAC i had chapstick on and by the time I left (1 hour), my lips were *so* dry. I had to slather on the TLC! they seriously made my lips feel like i *never* wear conditioning stuff.

for a comparison: they were drier than the pro long wear.

Well that sucks. I can't wear benetint because it is made from rose petals or something and I am allergic to roses. Poor me, but my hubby never has to worry about buying me flowers

Make sure you all post once you get them. I need to know whether or not to make the 1/2 hour trip into town for them. I've already decided against the cheek tints. I don't like the applicator on them. And as pretty as the new lipgelees are, I have a billion glosses already. I was only lemming the stains. I eat gloss like there is no tommorow so I am always looking for something more permanent.

well I do have them... they go on in a gel form and when they dry.. really you cant feel that they are on I am in love with them and gonna be grabing my first backups of lippies

I'm pretty keen on them. I've tried other stain type things - including the marker formula - and these go on evenly and while they don't moisturize they don't dry me out, either.

THe stains SUCK in my opinion. I got one, and it was the worst purchase ever. But i may be upset cuz they made my lips sting

There is one lip stain, that is suppossed to be in cherry red, right?

Oh dear! Sounds like something I should avoid!

Perhaps I will just buy one- we have no MAC counters here so it is purchase through mail only for me- I can never see anything first!

i just bought the 3 of them cause they looked so nice when i swatched it on my hand, but when i got back to my office and put it on my lips ( i should have done it in the store but was on my lunchbreak and didnt have much time) it dries up and feels so horrible on your lips. yuck!! im going back after work and getting my money back.

cyn, they really don't have a taste imho.. i must say that i'm a bit disappointed with them tho

i like the texture ( gel like), but it tingles a bit when u apply it . it's a bit drying imo. i applied it on top of my lip conditioner but it still felt dry. it did however look really nice when i put jellicious (sp) lipgelee on top.. it turned into a nice pearlescent stain. i'm kinda on the fence about keeping or returning them..

i'll use them more this weekend and decide * shrugs *.

I was getting a bit excited about them, but after a few complaints about the dry lips prob, I think I'll pass...at least the lip gelees are perm, yah?
