? about the lip stains

These officially suck ass. The initial color was fantastic and topped with some lip balm, they were awesome for a bit of color without super glossiness. But within ten minutes, they were gone from my lips except for a little line on each lip, where my lips meet. (That was a terrible description, but I can't think of another way to describe the spot.) I can't decide whether to put these up for swap or return them for pigments in June LOL

On another note, Cellopink is hotness personified (or would that be makeup-fied?).

eew i tried them on today. YUK. it wore off in like half hr. tasted like shit.. yea I know not supposed to taste it but hey... it is in my lips.. and my lips felt so dry afterwards.

Well, I guess I am in the minority here. I love them.

I think they had a nice scent (a subtle version of the lipglass scent), no taste (or at least nothing unpleasant), and a nice texture.

Mine stayed on quite a long time, but I made sure to thouroughly wipe off any lip product I had on (i.e. liner, lip conditioner, etc) to make sure the stain was getting bare skin. Stains need that to adhere properly, IMO. I let the stain dry down and then applied some Jellicious lipgelee. It lasted for quite some time. As far as them being drying, I couldn't say, as I am one of those people who always has either lipglass or lip conditioner on (or in this case, lipgelle

).

I wouldn't mind seeing these become permanent.

i think they were horrible!! i returned mine last night and got another cellopink lipgelee instead (i'm so loving this!!) it was so drying on the lips and felt a tingling when they were drying. i think the lipstains are as horrible as the glitz glosses. another thumbs down on a mac product.

Got my bottle of rose de sheer today. I like it a lot. It isn't drying to me, goes on VERY sheer(even more so than you would think), and the colour reminds me of the one I get after a long hot shower, or after biting my lips. Very rosy and fresh... but a natural rosy and fresh.

Also looks gorgeous underneath Goldensoft gelee!

I got my rose de sheer today also and I LOVE IT! It reminds me of the look when you just got finished eating a popcicle... very sheer and pretty not drying to me... it does tingle a bit too lol I dont know why that is but I LOVE this color I might have to buy a back up! Its what i've been looking for!

I actually really like these! They go on sheer but you can apply more to make them quite bright. i don't find them drying at all (but I'm only using a very little bit-- maybe that's why). They defintiely look best with the new lipgelees over them, though. As far as staying power-- they certainly don't look the same all day, but there's defintiely a slight stain on my lips that lasted all day. Most importantly, though (for me) is that they don't wear off unevenly or get gross after a while, the way lipglass and lipsticks do. So you can put it on and maybe touch it up later if you want the color to be more visible-- but you don't have to go to the bathroom to reapply and check to make sure it's not wearing off every hour or deal with that gross buildup you get with some lip products. It's low maintenance.

I am also in the minority but I like these as well, i thought the staying power was amazing and the colors are so "I just had a popsicle" looking I also made sure the apply them to bare skin lips. Also I used the lip ones on my cheeks, I like the lip stains on cheeks better than the actual cheek stains. Anyway I was surprised I actually liked these after hearing the bad reviews

I LOVE these. Im so going back to get Not So Shy and backups! They applied evenly, unlike Benetint. I could control the level of color. Werent drying, lasted all day through work and a snack & lunch. Didnt have much of a taste IMO. And they look beautiful under the new lipgelees!!

it's a spongetip, like the lipglasses.

And since I didn't mention it before, they smell exactly like the lipglasses, imo... that vanilla-ish kind of smell. I haven't noticed a taste or anything, though.

Ok, I broke down and bought one despite the bad reviews, and although I only tried it once, I like it so far. I got the kind of purply one "loving it light" and the colour is very pretty on. I only applied one layer because I was in a hurry, but then I put sweetie cake l/g over it and boy, it was hot. I think once I play around with these, I will love them. I didn't have trouble with drying out either, but maybe when I use it more? Anyhow, I kept my receipt just in case. Oh, they all seem to be cool colours, but one of the testers never came in so maybe that one?

I actually bought the cheek color in Subtle Hint and use it on my lips as well...I love the staying power (I put it on my cheeks at 9 am and it's 8:30 pm and still going strong)...

I have the rose one and I like it much better than the stuff by Benefit.
They don't stink and it's more of gel texture.

I would consider the rose one to be a bit warmed toned with just maybe a hint of cool.
I used it on friend that never looks good in cool colors and it looked really nice on her with clear gloss on top.

A friend of mine and I went to the counter closest to us today and while I was buying up my stuff, she tried on one of the lip stains and loved it. She had a lot of stuff already on her lips because we'd been trying different products in other places as well, but she wiped it off really well and didn't complain about it being too drying. She was argueing with herself about whether or not to buy it, and later said that she wished she had. Just to offer a different (and not negative) opinion on them...

i actually don't mind the taste or smell and it doesn't dry out my lips. in my opinion, pro long wears are way more drying. it adheres pretty well and has a pretty long lasting life. not super long though. my only complaint is that i don't like the look of the "i just ate a popsicle look" which is a shame because everyone seems to like that. but the product itself is pretty good and if you are going for that "i just ate a popsicle look" this would be the product to use!

so i broke down and bough two of these today: rose de sheer and lovin' it light. i think i'll go back tomorrow and get the third one. i used prep and prime lip on my lips, waited a few minutes, then painted an even, sheer layer of the see thru lip color on my lips with the applicator. it went on relatively smooth, was easy to even out, and gave my lips a gorgeous rosy glow. dried in about 60 seconds, once again very evenly. once it was dry, i added cool & aloof lipgelee over it, and got a GORGEOUS rosy shimmer. stayed on for several hours, even though a drink and a cigarette. wasn't drying. i hated benetint, but am so far very impressed with these. i suppose the application could take a bit pf practice, but overall they're very easy to work with, IMO. they come out a lot more sheer than they look in the tube. light vanilla smell similar to all the mac lip products.
