ACK, Antiquitease invite thru email!

I got my first actual invitation to an event! Strange thing is that it's to a location I've never been to... and it's to a freestanding store, not a pro store (I've only heard of the Toronto Queen pro store have events). It's this Sunday and I'm torn about going b/c I wasn't planning to get anything (not much cash

), I've got homework to do and it's a bit out of the way. But my first invite - yay!

Anyone else (esp. in T.O.) get one?

*if the image looks a bit off it's b/c I had to take the individual pieces and paste them together. It's actually a bit bigger too, but I got the best part. =D

How do you get invites anyways? Do you have to spend a certain amount online/in stores/in counters. I have never been invited to one before D: And I buy like crazy... Muah.

I got one in the mail as well for this store. I live right across the street but I'm not going. That email is gorgeous...prettier than the invitation I got.

The freestanding MAC store at Square one is a Pro store btw.

Just normal clothes. I honestly can't even remember what everyone else was wearing. That's how insignificant it was.

At the Smoke Signals event I was able to purchase from the collection. I believe the collection was coming out the next day or the day after that. So you kind of got to get stuff a few days before others.

You go in and you can play with the new items and swatch and stuff. Also, the MAs will do looks on you for free. And they give you a little paper so that you can check what items you want that you give it to the MA at the register so they can get your stuff.

And there are hors d'oeuvre and drinks!

I went to the Smoke Signals Party at WillowBrook Mall in NJ and no one was really dressed up, except for the MA's/SA's.. they wore pretty costumes with head pieces.. The food was good and the drinks were by Stoli. Nice indeed..

We got a form with the new collections on it, you checked off what you wanted, then handed it to an MA/SA and they picked your items for you...

Very nice and fun.

Aw, that's too bad we can't meet up! I didn't know it was a Pro store... but then again, whenever I ask about Pro stores the MA's only mention Toronto.

I think I'll be going. My husband will go to Playdium while I go to MAC... =P

^ Seriously, no one knows. Heck, it doesn't even go by store b/c I've never shopped at that location! If anything I usually shop at counters. Who knows what rhyme or reason they use to give invites.

I got invited by a MA in the Glendale GAlleria store after I purchased like $100 worth of stuff. Not sure if that made a difference. They have 4 different times you can sign up for to come into the store. I guess they're inviting a lot of people. She did say we would be able to buy products tho that day!

I just spent tons and tons and tons on MAC this past two weeks. But I don't even know if my store is doing an event.
