While we are debating the value of these epic rewards, I'm wondering if the KVD eye liner set is worth the points. Thoughts? (sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm behind in this thread).

Sis, have you given up completely on Chanel?

So, I've given up on the new MJ foundation. 10 is too light on me, 12 too dark. Not into mixing.

Onto my second foundation sample of the week- Givenchy Photo Perfection.

Um, I kind of love it. Anyone else use/try this one?
I'm sorry MJ isn't working out for you.

I just looked up Photo Perfection and wonder how I've passed this up before! It sounds great and has great reviews. I'll have to remember to get a sample of this next time I'm in store. :) (which was today... but I hadn't checked specktra yet, damnit! lol)

I wanted the MJ foundation to work for me, but that's why there are so many out on the market!

LOL, sorry.... I nabbed 2 samples (Givenchy & Laura Mercier) and honestly thought I'd like the LM better. I barely needed any of the Givenchy with a MAC 190 for good coverage. I love my Tom Ford, but a $50 foundation is much friendlier, to be honest!

Mind you, there's only one available. They said that they were going to email all the Canadian customers with over 10,000 points. I feel like they only half tried to do something for the Canadian customers. I'm sure they would much rather a 3-4 night stay in NY or CA or something!

There's a post on the beauty board with the rough estimated values. I'll post it if I find it again.
These epic rewards are gonna get few more unhappy customers for sephora!! The discussions in the beauty talk board goes like "there seems to be 40 anastasia sets available" !!
huh2.gif
so how many customers will actually be able to get any of these i wonder!!

That's crazy. I would prefer a 3 day trip to NY or CA too. 10,000 points for a one-night stay when they are offering 3-night stays to Paris? Sheesh.

For me, the Marc Jacobs perk is still the winner, but we're just not meant to be together, I guess.

I'm saying right!?! Even the Lancome one came with a gift card and what not plus the trip

Yassss! That MJ perk is out of this world. That and the GA one with all the eye tints and what not.

I'm certainly the last person who could be called a Sephora apologist, but everyone seems to forget that rewards/sweepstakes/contest entry legalities are much, much different between the US and Canada. The 1-night stay might have something to do with that.

Hmmm... like an individual tax exposure type of situation where the value of the "reward" could be added to your income for the year? I didn't think of that if that's what you meant.

It might or it might not. My cousin is a Canadian resident and he won a 7-day trip to North Carolina a few years ago. Either way, I was simply stating my opinion, which is that a one-night stay for amassing 10,000 points is nothing to get excited about.

That, and I remember hearing from multiple companies that Canada has to be treated differently due to their stricter regulations on sweepstakes and rewards. Anytime SiriusXM does a giveaway, for example, Canada is excluded. Not just Sephora doing things differently.

Canadians don't get taxed on prizes (lotto $ or otherwise). We are probably excluded from Sirius XM giveaways because they would have to comply with standards set by the Canadian Radio-Television Telecommunications Council (CRTC) which regulates (i.e. has a death grip) on a helluva lot of our tv, radio, internet, wireless technology, hardware, consumer prices, etc. It can be a blessing and a curse.
However, I understand what you are saying about different national regulations for giveaways/prizes, etc.

I got my #48 sephora bronzer brush.. I definitely would not use it for bronzer - just way too dense. I plan on using it for foundation.. Yesterday, I was able to get Kat Von Ds blush in Essex and one of her shadester bronzers for $11.99 each..

I also finally found a store that had KVD Bow & Arrow in stock.. I almost bought a backup because it was so hard to find, but I refrained and only bought one..

I tried Armani’s Maestro Liquid Summer and loved it.. I am thinking of purchasing it.. wish I would have asked for a sample so I could test it out during my makeup routine..
I went back to my SiJCP today and they have the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Armageddon on clearance for $9.99. Still no Bow N Arrow in sight, though. And, still a negative on the #54 brush.

Hi Jill!! How do you like Echo so far?
I think that's one of their (NARS') regular lipsticks but I'm happy that the kit is more high end than last years' even if you get 2 less products.
I think I'm ordering Echo! I can't stop thinking about it after swatching yesterday! @Jill1228 how do you like it??

The Hourglass Dim Light Ambient Lighting Powder is priced at $22 right now on Sephora, if anyone is wanting it. The rest are still regular price.

Sis, have you given up completely on Chanel?
Not consciously, sis. I can't remember the last time I bought a Chanel item, though. Must've been a year ago. Nothing jumps out at me from them, but I still check out new threads here hoping to spot something. I'm all about lip stains, the best mascara I've ever tried is by Lancome, Nars & UD have me covered on blushes, MUFE has my shadows and foundations. I don't even have any Chanel products in my rotation. :dunno:

I was considering that, but I don't need that shade. I wish they had Radiant.
