I was actually excited for this palette but I'm glad I didn't buy it before reading this! I'll skip but keep us posted anyway. My Tarte Light of the Party kit arrived yesterday, and wow I'm disappointed. I used the shades from the mini palette this morning and the pigmentation just isn't there. If I hadn't paid so much to get it shipped to the UK (and not thrown away the packaging) I would have returned it. I'll persevere and try a few from the bottom half tomorrow, see if they fair any better!
On the other hand I ordered 5 of the Makeup Geek duochrome shadows to make up for my disappointment
I'm NW47 in MAC Waterweight Foundation and No. 7 in Black Up.ohh nice review. What's your mac shade and your shades in black up?
I just randomly did the math for it and then saw your comment haha! I do not own it and don't plan on buying it but Sephora says it's a "$132.00 value" and after calculating the ounces to price ratio of each specific product it is really only worth about $49!!!! The only Hourglass powder I own is Dim Light which everyone raves about as a great under eye setting powder but whenever I tried using it that way it made my under eye area way too dark! (I'm NW20, NW15 for the under eyes) It does a better job as an all-over finishing powder. I'd say if you're not really interested in any of the other holiday palettes this year and you've really been wanting to try a variety of the Hourglass products go for it. It'd probably be worth it to you in that aspect.Has anyone here bought the new Hourglass palette? I know everyone is complaining about price/size but I'm wondering if it's any good for those of us who would never hit pan on the regular size powders and also want to try the blushes/bronzer all in one? I'm trying to talk myself out of it but it keeps whispering ''buy me''... But I don't wanna end up looking powdery with my already dry skin.
It also really pisses me off that it's not worth the value considering the quantity of product it has! But it's a good all in one palette. I can see why people who already have some of these shades separately would skip on it but I'm definitely considering it. So far, it is the only Holiday palette I'm intereste in. The rest seem ''eh'' to me. I'm also very fair like you. Do you think the powders really make a difference in making the skin look better/more perfected/blurring imperfections or does it do what any other high end setting powder does? I'm very on the fence about this and could use some opinions hahaI just randomly did the math for it and then saw your comment haha! thanks, I think you told us that already. LOL But thanks again.I'm NW47 in MAC Waterweight Foundation and No. 7 in Black Up.
So annoying!!! Good luck trying to sound reasonable.Emailed them back but might have to call and try not to sound like steam is coming out my ears.
Thanks, [@]boschicka[/@]! That emoji sums it up lol Sorry to hear you've had a share of it, tooSo annoying!!! Good luck trying to sound reasonable. I hope you get it straightened out. These stores have been driving me crazy lately.
MUFE shadows are amazing. All the online excitement is true. I own 30 of these shadows. However if you are purchasing from Sephora get them in groups of 3. They are discounted if yo get 3 and a trio case. HTH.I'm wanting to buy 6 makeup forever eyeshadows. I don't own any at the moment, can anyone tell me how they are? All reviews online seem to be great! I'd be getting these colors: I824 S604 S610 I606 ME612 S516
Iwas looking at#3 as well I was watching and was about to grab it when I wanted to hear other people's thoughts. I recently also grabbed sublime powders in #2 . Im really excited for this line. It's already in my VIB list. The metallic shadows are amazing.LOL. I bought no. 3 and it was worth the money. I love it! It's very creamy and a little goes a long way. The only down side is that the sticks are wide so you'll have to maneuver it so that you use the side of it on certain areas. I'm not a major contour person so I don't want anything too complicated and that's why I love this product. It's great under the eyes too and doesn't dry out and settle into facial lines. So far, every Black Up product I've bought (full coverage foundation, no.28 lipstick and concealer stick) has lived up to what they claim. I'm going to buy another one during the sale along with some other products. If you get it, let me know if you like it.Edit: I also bought the sublime powder in no. 3.
Oh no. I was seriously debating buying that palette- I saw a photo of the eyeshadows and their names. I'm a sucker for packaging and/or names. My Tarte Light of the Party kit arrived yesterday, and wow I'm disappointed. ugh, sucks.Oh, blah. The mini bite set isn't doing it for me. I was going to jump on it just because but there's only one shade that I know I'll really enjoy. Also, Lancome is not my friend. Shade 450 doesn't work on the outside of my face. I'd have to mix 450 and 460 to get my perfect shade and I am not about that life. I still don't have anything exciting to buy.
I love the powder too. I was eyeing powders 4 and 5 so I'll probably pick them up during the sale. My sale wish list has mostly Black Up products on it. Lol. I'm going to have to try their shadows the next time I'm in the store. You and Shontay were the ones who got me hooked on the MUFE shadows.Iwas looking at#3 as well I was watching and was about to grab it when I wanted to hear other people's thoughts. Thank you! Thats why I wanna get 6! It saves me $40! Just got my spectrum palette heres my swatches outside in natural light! These colors are gorge and pictures don't do them justice!MUFE shadows are amazing. All the online excitement is true. I own 30 of these shadows.
