There was an orange shade of lipstick that I LOVED!!! ----but of course.  I think that was the only lipstick that I can remember using up completely.
Yes! You remind me of my all-time favorite lipstick and it was by Bourjois. I used it up twice! Hasn't happened since. It was the most beautiful deep red, matte but with red flecks in it that you could actually see. I guess that's what Mac was trying to pull off with that weak lipstick in their holiday collection, but this was the real deal. It was so opaque. Like Audacious opaque. Man, I'd pay triple to have that thing back.

I just did one final order; I treated myself to the 'Big Hair Don't Care Set'. When drying my hair over the weekend, I heard a pop and noticed a burnt smell coming from my hair dryer. I had it out and in the trash in a nano-second. This will be my first expensive dryer; I hope it's worth all the hype.

I also got two Philosophy body wash while they were on sale and pounced on the UD 500 point perk; I'm still sorry I missed the NARS one. I have another 1500 points, so I keep watch for those.

This is embarrassing but I used that lipstick to the extent that when I twisted the bullet, what was left was way down in the casing and wouldn't advance up----I
resorted to a Q-tip to get to it. What can I tell ya---when I fall in love I fall hard!!!

Fast forward a couple (well it feels like a couple) of years and 304 lipsticks later.....

and I still remember that one little lipstick so fondly.

When I've been reading over the lists and I see that someone bought something that I love, I get so excited for them lol.
Me too Alysse....likewise, if I see the same product being ordered by several people, but it's unknown to me, I research it. That's the beauty of the site I think---sharing,
learning & exploring.

When did Sephora have Bourjois? I know Ulta carried it for a while until about three or four years ago.
years + years ago........

i remember getting an electric blue pencil from B @ Sephora as the salesperson said it's trendy and not to spend a lot, it was $2 i think!

here is link to asos for B, very limited + def wait for free ship

yes, bourjois to chanel! the wertheimers brothers (owners of boujois) also own chanel privately and have in part since they bought chanel's perfume line - coco made a horrible deal with them business wise but was able to get a good payout after going to court for years but she would have been beyond loaded had she not signed over 90% of her perfume company - with the pay out, the owners also paid all of her living expenses includng her famous suite at the ritz she had for 30 years! perhaps not so bad, who knows, i would not mind a night paid for forget 30 years! she did morphine daily + had plenty of well connected men around at all times - it's a great story if anyone is looking to read there are lots of books on amazon!!

ok back to marc jabobs now! he seems so boring now, ha! need that powder i think!! yes/no?

Thank you to all the ladies that told me about the shops here in London.
I went to the Kiko Boutique by Oxford street, found some Boots near the underground stations, lots of fun. I can't find sleek anywhere tho, makes me a little sad.
Going to Germany tomorrow, I wonder what I will find there lol.
Last time I was there was over thirteen years ago, so I have to find everything haha.

I am so sad, the MUFE magnetic palette is still OOS at sephora, I wanna get it with the twenty percent off.. so sad :/

For anyone that doesnt live near a Sephora I got a few photos of some products and swatches:

Ardency Inn eyeshadows:

They all have great pigmentation, especially the metallic ones. The matte ones are a bit "dusty" on the first application and require multiple applications if you want a rich color....reminds me of the MUFE eyeshadows.

Top row: Vintage Gold, Peacock, Sunday, Heaven, Rose Gold, Hell
Bottom row: Disco, Orchid, Royal, Punch, Tangerine,
Lone vertical swatch: Copper

Becca highlighters from left to right: Moonstone, Opal, Rose Gold, Topaz

Wow. Nice.

The pearls are sooo pretty but do they come off sparkly IRL? I dont want my face to be glittery, it doesnt suit me at all!

I'm on the darker side (south asian) and dim light works fine as a finishing powder but i honestly never used finishing powder until i bought that palette-- I dont have much experience. My skin is dry so I always stayed away from powders! Thats where all you lovelies come in to guide the blind lmao.

What makes the LE pearls better and how can I tell the difference?
guerlain reformulated the pearls this year in the regular line, according to G SA, one of the major complaints was that they were not glittery enough so G made regular line with more sparkles - holiday pearls are made each year with different colors and packaging and different amounts of glitter but this year's is mellow - i use a skunk brush to apply and only in certain lights could you really tell of a few faint glitter dots (if even) but i would say it's the same concept as the ambient powders but i think better at least for me! i think the LE would work well on your skin tone and its something you have to try almost to understand and see! i saw a you tube "beauty guru" get them for 1st time and she couldn't believe she had never had before!

the holiday ones are in gold tins and are LE's, you may be able to get nordies to PM, they are still on sephora (but sold out online but picture appears) so perhaps they would honor the 20%? worth a shot!

i find them very subtle + being a G lover for a long time, I think these are my fave ever LE ones! (they do every christmas, i think 20 years, not sure but a long time! some years better than others) they are also scented like violet.......

i say go for it if you have never tried, a friend bought them who had used one of the hourglass powders and she's now obsessed w/G pearls! you don't really go back ever once you go there, you know what i mean?!?

Have any of you tried the TF Cocoa Powder Foundation. I saw it in store a while back and I was interested in it but Im not a foundation wearer at all. I do wear powder often now, I tried some liquid foundation for a while , wasnt my thing, tried BB cream & that was ok because its pretty light. My skin is not too problem-ish, its just not always even in colour and with the occasion minor break out. Im always looking to make it look nicer and even but with minimal products/effort. So I thought a powder foundation might be ok. Not sure if I should go for it or just forget it.

I'm probably the only one who doesn't like Sleek. I bought two palettes when I was in London this summer and gave both away to teenagers. I thought they performed like what they are; relatively inexpensive drugstore makeup. I have a lot of shadows (mostly MAC, UD and Inglot) and Sleek didn't even come close, IMO. It was no great loss because they were very inexpensive and the kids were thrilled to get 'British makeup' and rush home to Instagram their loot, but I'd never buy from the brand again.

I was using it in the summer when my skin was a bit more oiler and I really liked it. I would just use it over concealer or sometimes by itself. Now my skin is back to normal dry. And guys. The NARS powder. Hello, I love you won't you tell me your name. Check it out!!!

Very true. Im not too fond of many layers on myself. I just want a flawless look that I see many people with foundation having haha

Funny enough Im at work and a friend who is a MUA just came in and we were chatting about foundation and she was telling me I dont really need it because I have nice "porcelain" skin. She said if anything just try a BB cream. So maybe if anything, that's what i'll stick to
