Amway!!! should I sign??

Hi...

I'm almost an Amway distribuitor, not yet, but I was doing a reserch on the internet and there's a lot of bad information about this and Quixtar...

Now I'm confused, I don't know what to do!!! I was so happy with all this idea of the plan, and dreams, and the big money, you know, but after I read all that, I'm a little scared...

Any Amway o Quixtar member with experiences here?? please...

i say do what you want, but make sure you have realistic expectations.

amway will not bring you riches beyond your wildest dreams overnight. (i speak as someone who knows a few amway distributors). i am sure it is possible to make money, but it will no doubt be hard work, just like any other method of making a lot of money (apart from winning the lottery

)

also, don't try to hassle your relatives and friends into joining if they say no after being asked. it just serves to annoy them (again, i speak as said relative/friend).

oh my freakin goodness, lol my crazed ex joined this Quixstar madness and i swear it put a thorn in my side and strain on her relationship.. he would get so amped about the Grand Puba ( sorry made that name up lol) well the person who retired at 28 has houses on each coast but never realized that this man doesnt have to work simply for the fact that he has a shitload of people bringing in other people to get him to the level hes at. And i told him there was no guarantee hed even get a 10th of what dude achieved, of course i was told i wasnt seeing the big picture but when i found out it was indeed Amway i let him dig his own hole. The stuff he sold was good for people who lived in like mountain counties who were miles and miles from a supermarket or superstore like a walmart or target. We live in NYC now and can just hit up a BJ's Wholesale Club. The prices arent all that and most likely you'll lose a lot of friends if u ever try to pressure them to get into your circle, tree, pyramid whatever. You'll be putting out a bunch of money to buy THEIR supplies (more ways the rich get richer instead of letting u go to Staples or something) I think you would have a better chance making more money with those home parties people give selling stuff from candles to sex toys lol...hope my rant about this helped in some way

One of my friends worked for a company similar to this, called Vektor Marketing. She tried pushing her products on all her family, her friends, and THEIR families, etc. God it was such a nuisance being bugged all the time, a lot of her friends avoided her calls, because they knew theyd get her whole sale spiel. She worked her butt off trying to sell her stuff, she sold a bit, but not enough to really ever see a real paycheck (you have to pay the company for the stuff you sell, and then you get a percentage of the amnt you sell (This is for the company she worked for at least). And like MsButterfli said, she would always talk about the head guy, who's in his late 20s, and owned like 3 Tim Hortons, and has a ton of money etc.
If it was me, Id definitely not take the job. My friend lost a LOT of her friends.

Not only all that (what's written above)...but the object of the 'game' is to recruit more and more people....So, are constantly pressuring you to buy these 'motivational' supplies; books, DVD's, CD's, etc. Then, then also want you to go to the conferences....Chicago, Miami, New York, Los Angeles...and guess what? YOU pay for everything. If you don't go?? You will be told by your "rep" that you'll never have any kind of success....You aren't making an effort...blah blah. Plus, there are conference calls at least twice a week they want all reps to participate in. Now, it's your call, but I'd say that's a LOT of time and money. Most people getting into it now don't become gazillionaires. Not even close. Maybe twenty years ago, when it was brand new, I would say perhaps there's a chance....not so much anymore....there's just too many people doing it now. Actually, all the people I've known to get into this have LOST money. Lots of money. Oh, and the 'point' system (where you go up 'levels' and make more money (sarcasm))....well, that's the 'best' part (sarcasm), 'cause people end up getting the points they need to go up levels by buying their OWN products.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you luck. Just, promise you'll think long and hard about this. Please.

I forgot about the trips! My friend would spend her whole pay check AND have to borrow money from her dad for a trip to toronto for work.

MMM thank you girls for all this info, I think I´m going to say NO to this....this people are weird...I cant even log in to mmy messenger when they are already send me messengers and telling me that it´s so stupid to let this oportunity go away..that I have a big chance to make a lots of money with this industry...I mean what tha hell if I don´t want it...I know that in the porn industry there´s a lot of big money but not for that I´m going to be a porn star... I dont´t know if you know what I mean.....

Smart girl...stay far far away from them. Whatever bad things you read about them are 100% true. I went to an Amway rally a long time ago (to appease a friend) and ended up leaving right after lunch. During the rally, the doors were locked and no one could leave. The people around me were chanting

iamond, diamond" (the highest rank you can achieve), and were all glassy-eyed as if they were in some cult. It was the weirdest thing I ever saw. Their products are not that good anyway and really expensive compared to anything else on the market. Besides only the top people make money off of this scam.
