Thanks everyone! I'm really happy you all loved this look.

I'm also happy that you think I'm looking increasingly girly, mia88!

XsMom21- Those are some very good ideas! Maybe it is my eye color that makes this look less satisfying to me. I know the effect purples have on my eyes- I use them a ton! Reds though... that's an interesting idea. Not that I HAVE any reds, but it's something I'm going to look into. Then again, Blue Brown came out red in that look with Old Gold, and that did look really good on me. So you're right!

By different looks do you mean different color placement or different colors?

Good question, Shimmer. Different colors, but also other variables. Different lip colors certainly. I only have one lip pencil and three lipsticks I've used for FOTD's - Ice Princess, Peachy Keen and Lilac Lick. Also different colors of eyeliner and ways to apply it, as opposed to black on the top and waterline with a tiny cat eye like I always do. Different colors of shadow too (so far I've basically mix and matched green, blue, purple, pink, black, silver and gold), including ones I don't have like red and teal. Maybe different kinds of fake lashes to make my eyes more varied, and more than my one shade of blush (such as a bronzer). As an example, I tried a different look today which I'll post as an FOTD soon (I don't want to clutter the first page with multiple posts!).

Personally, I think you did an amazing job!!!!

Now.. I understand exactly what you're saying about feeling that it's not dramatic enough (not talking about this look, though.. I DO think this looks great!!!). I feel the same way when I wear blue-ish shades on top of my blue eyes. The trick for me is to not to wear the same shade as my eye color as the main focus.. Like, if I'm going to be wearing blues, especially for the main color, I have to wear either much darker shade of blue, or much lighter. If I wear something even remotely similar to my actual eye color without some serious contrasting color, instead of bringing out my eyes, I really feel like they just get lost in there somewhere. I really hope that made sense because I almost confused myself lol.

As for trying new things.. ahhh, I get that one, too. I got in a major rut for a while with the same ol' same ol'. Every look started looking the same, except with different colors. I had a lid color, a crease color, and then a highlight. It took me a while to realize that there were so many other ways to do things! I really don't know exactly what to tell you to try out, but just to try lots of different looks on yourself. Really pay attention to who's putting what where and go from there. You don't have to use the same colors, but, maybe try some of the same shapes/styles/techniques that others use. Some things will work for your eye shape and some things won't.. complete trial and error. You won't know what works for you until you try it out on yourself! The more new things I try out, the more I love makeup

Definitely check the tutorial forum, and look for looks that you can recreate. Not necessarily through color, but through placement. MissChievous does FANTASTIC tutorials, and there should be a couple by Joker's Kick worth checking out. Spencoh is another GREAT tutorial babe...hers particularly offer different ideas for placement of eyeshadow and color combinations!

Oh WOW! I haven't been on here as much lately so the last FOTD of yours I saw was quite a while ago.. you have improved SO much I can't believe it!

I think these colours look great on you but I agree with the person above who said the green probably isn't as effective because you have greenish eyes! Pinks and purples definitely look best on you.

(But you can't wear them all the time, right?).

Do you have Coppering? I think that would look pretty nice on you.

I love this on you! I think it is one of my favorites that you have done. it really does bring out your eyes and the lipstick matches beautifully. If you wanted to add some drama to it, I would blend a little carbon into the outer corners and crease, to give it some depth.
