So does anyone have any news about our the free standing store we're getting at Mayfair Mall? Has work started on it yet? I haven't been to that mall in months. Any word on when it's supposed to open?

Late to this thread, but glad of this news! I shall be making more trips to Victoria! With Lululemon, and now FS Mac, along with all the other lovely things about Victoria, it's going to begin to rival my urges to go to Vancouver (although, they do have Holt Renfrew...)

I was in Mayfair briefly on Saturday so I had a quick look around, but I couldn't see any retail space at all. I don't know where the store is going, but I would sure like to know. Also, I emailed MAC a while back and they said that the opening would be delayed until at least April 2007

I was told that MAC would be going into the space where Bernard Callebault Chocolates used to be. The flower shop is there right now, but it is just a temporary location. BTW: Did you notice if Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream was open yet? (It's opening in hte old flower shop location next to the Douglas Street entrance)

Yeah, I remembered you saying it was going in the chocolate shop and I wondered why the flower store opened there instead. Ben and Jerry's isn't there yet. It is just a sitting space with chairs for shoppers right now.

Ooooh!!!! YEAH!!!! I can't wait! I knew it was opening in May cuz the MAC girls downtown told me. I believe the current MAC counter manager will become the manager of the Mayfair one, and the assistant manager will become the manager downtown. They're currently working on Ben and Jerry's right now. I walked through the mall today and I noticed that both the baby clothes store and the flower store are both closing this month, and since they are right beside each other, I wonder if they will be combining the two stores and putting the Build A Bear in there. I'm so excited about the Build A Bear! My boyfriend made me one in Seattle over the X-mnas holidays, I'd never been to one before! I want to make another one! hehe!!! As for MAC, I wonder if it may go in beside Eddie Bauer, because the ladies clothing store that was there (Niki Babie) is gone now.

Yup, you are right! I checked with my friend that works at customer service, and MAC is taking over both the flower shop, and Baby Zone. Build-a-Bear is going to be where Bowring was. Soooo excited for both!!!
