I had a look at the BLM collection this lunchtime (no quads unfortunately) and although the stuff's pretty, the only thing I felt obliged I had to have was Moth Brown (which is gorgeous... heathertone-splashed shimmer brown and really unique).. I'd fully intended picking up a beauty powder, the pink lipstick, and several shadows, but nope, Barbie just didn't tempt me as much as I thought it would....
Playful's pretty but I already have Sushi flower.... which is orangier, but otherwise very similar.. a shimmer-free slightly translucent pink....
Springtime Skipper's amazing, like a shimmery, lighter, slightly more yellow Swimming... but I already have Swimming and Bitter, so can't justify having this, too.... the assistant said it's most similar to (an admittedly slightly nicer) Juxt - better pigmented than Juxt apparently but really lots like it. If there is one thing I'll go back for, it will be this, but I really wasn't absolutely convinced today.
The bright pink lipstick (Rockin Gal?) is pretty, but a similar colour to "Girl About Town" which again I already have. If I didn't already have Girl About Town I'd probably choose Rockin' Gal in preference though, as the pearly finish is nice....
Malibu Barbie l/g is neither as pigmented nor as glittery as I'd hoped. I already have "sweetie cake" lipglass and this seems pretty similar...
The beauty powders are lush, but really very similar to Danse's MSF's in effect, once on the face... and when I said to the assistant that I already had "Lightscapade" she quietly told me I'd got the better deal, the MSF's are finer milled and the product goes further.
