Do any of you have any good recommendations of a good foundation that can be found...well, anywhere? I've been using the Covergirl True Blend but it does nothing to cover up my redness and blemishes. I know there has to be something at the Wal-Mart that would help me.
I love Revlon Colorstay foundation. Out of all the drugstore lines, that one is the only one that is a good match for my skintone, and doesn't break me out or look chalky. It's a great medium coverage foundation that can easily be built up to suit how much you need to cover.

I always say I'll try a high-end foundation, but I always go back to Maybelline EverFresh foundation. I've re-purchased 3 times! It really looks very natural and has great finish and coverage

I totally agree. Revlon Colorstay is my everyday foundation. I have tried bascially every drugstore foundation and this is by far the best one yet. It is also the only foundation that has a nice coverage and also matches my skintone. As long as you use a moisturizer underneath, it blends nicely and lasts pretty much all day.
I also have problems with foundations causing me to breakout or giving me a rash; this one hasn't done either and I have been wearing it for almost a year and a half!
You could also purchase a concealor for dark spots and than use the foundation. Loreal True Match coveres amazingly, but the lasting power is no good. With Revoln colorstay it is really hard to get of the skin and you have to blend it fast or you will have a hard time having an even finish. Hope that helps, let us know how it goes.
I have had really great success with the L'Oreal TrueMatch powder foundation. I put a primer on, then the foundation with a sponge, then buff it with a brush. The color and coverage is buildable and the color selection is excellent. If my skin is REALLY bad, then I stipple Max Factor Panstick on with a sponge and put a very light layer of TrueMatch on with a brush. Love this for photographs.

If you use a good moisturizer (I use Dove Brightening) before applying ColorStay it makes it a lot easier to blend into the skin and the results are a million times better IMO.
I don't use ColorStay unless I have applied moisturizer to my face. Without it the result isn't nearly as good as the result I get when using a moisturizer before hand.

I would have to agree with Cosmopolitics in that Revlon Colorstay is a good, long-lasting, full-coverage foundation. The shade selection seems pretty good, too. I am very oily in the T-zone with large pores and have always been happy with my Colorstay.
i love the maybelline mousse stuff, you can't even feel the foundation on your face...and it's got pretty good coverage if you use it w/a setting powder on top. as for redness and stuff, just use concealer.
another fave is the cg trublend whipped foundation...it's a bit heavier than the mousse but still pretty good.
I've really become attached to "Vital Radiance" (made by Revlon). Aside from the coverage, I love the fact that it comes in a tube and has a pump for easy dispensing. A little goes a long way. It has a fresh, slightly lemony scent which I love (but may turn other users off).
Rimmel Cool Matte Foundation. It goes on super-creamy and just feels nice on skin. Not at all like Maybelline Matte Mouse; does not feel fake or silicone-y. Also does go on cool during application and does not settle into lines.

Just FYI, Vital radiance has been discontinued, so it's not going to be in stores much longer. Revlon got some new higher up and he decided that it would be best for them moneywise to just discontinue it, cuz of low sales or something. So most stores are going to pull it from their walls (Or are going to sell whatever product they have left til it's all gone). The store I work in is going to be pulling it down sometime this month.

I second this. I picked some up a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love this stuff!
