Rimmel Cool Matte 16hr Foundation
It's really creamy and feels amazing on skin; like I'm not wearing foundation. The color is very forgiving and looks natural.

Re: Drugstore Foundations

I love Maybelline Dream Matte foundation. I had a lot of redness in my face too, and this has a slightly yellow tint, so it kind of helps to cover it up. I just bought my second one today, actually.

Revlon color stay is really nice. It has good coverage lasts a pretty long time.

One of my faves is Almay Clear Complexion foundation + loose powder - they help conceal & heal blemishes. I've noticed that it helps my face stay clearer. I also like L'Oreal True Match.

Re: Drugstore Foundations

i just bought revlon colorstay active light makeup with spf 25, so far so good. the medium beige is a perfect match for my skin, i think i am nc35 in mac. i mix in a little almay face brightener in tan afterglow (similar to skinlights) and my skin is glowing. reason i bought this over the regular colorstay foundation was for the spf factor and it was on sale 40% off at walgreens.

I really love l'oreal true match. I use the liquid and set it with the matching powder, it's the closest match to my skin tone that I can find since I'm so pale.

Another vote here for Revlon Colorstay. It's what I use every day. I'm SUPER pale, but the lightest shade matches my face. Also, I use the one for combination/oily skin, and my face doesn't look like an oil slick when I get home for lunch; it's rare that I even have to blot my face during the day.

The only thing that I could gripe about is that it seems to feel a little heavy on my cheeks, but maybe I just have to change the way I put it on there.

Couldn't have said it better myself!! I love this foundation! For best result, use a sponge wedge with it.

Re: Drugstore Foundations

My HG foundation has to be Revlon Colorstay. I love that it stays on all day, doesn't make me oily, and has pretty good, buildable coverage. I use their Rich Tan shade.

I as well use Revlon Colorstay when using foundation. It is long lasting and does not make me break out. I always make sure I have on moisturizer before applying though. My shade is Tan as well.

It would be great if it came packaged with a pump dispenser.

My hg is Revlon colorstay and age defying. Revlon is as good as those expensive department brands. I finally found a winner!

Re: Drugstore Foundations

colorstay is decent but sometimes it felt a little heavy on my face even when i applied it thinly to my face. it caked a little too. honestly i really like maybelline's pure. foundation. in terms of coverage, revlon's colorstay is better but the pure. foundation is buildable (you won't get full coverage) and it doesn't feel greasy on my face, it doesn't cake and it looks very natural! i just use it for spot coverage because i very very very rarely use foundation on my entire face b/c i don't need it. definitely worth trying tho, it's cheap!

To those that use ColorStay, how do you apply it? I was thinking of getting it and would like to use a foundation brush with (sponges weird me out because of bacteria). Also, how does this work with ance prone skin?

I generally get a decent amount on my finger and dab a splotch on to each cheek, my forehead and nose and then blend it in really fast. I actually don't use a brush, instead I use my fingers but I am thinking about investing in a foundation brush. As long as you blend quickly, I can't see you having a problem. And my skin tends to be acne prone and it works fine for me. I use various topical acne treatments along with my moisturizer before applying foundation and it seems to be okay. I still get my usual cycle breakouts, but nothing major. HTHS!

Revlon Colorstay for me, all the way! I have very acne prone skin, and I use the stuff for Oily/Combination skin, and my skin has actually started to clear up since I began using it. I use a brush to apply it, and I get great coverage. I actually like it better then any other foundation I've used.

Although even in the lightest colors, any foundation has always been a touch too dark for my skin in the winter. What can I say, I am a white, white girl, lol.
