Best Eye Base? Prime+Prep/Shadestick/Paint Stick?

I understand from an MA at Nordstrom that the new Paint Pots can be used like Paint as a primer. I haven't tried them yet.

I agree with the oreal decrease sucks, i use UDPP. I've tried the Shadesticks though but I dont use it that much because it tugs my eyelids. I havent tried paints because they dont sell it at our store

i like the *idea* of shadesticks but they don't apply well on me

if you want to splurge, i prefer MAC paints or UDPP. if you want to save money, try the wet n wild cream shadows - they're just as good with a much nicer price tag ($2.99USD/ea!)

are you using it FOR drag? i do makeup for a bunch of my drag friends and i use shadesticks...4 hours later their makeup still looks good (normal touchups not withstanding)

I'm trying a paint pot this weekend...but I still think shadesticks are the way to go.

I use prep and prime with the shade sticks. I find they skip if I don't. Don't put paints over power like I did yesterday. I like paints if I am in a rush. Bare canvas is the staple in rush hour. You can put cream base like Luna over paints. I like combining products when I have time to really kick up my eyes. I also like combining shimmery eye shadows with matte.

You can put on concealor, paint and prime - then the eye shadow.
You can just put on bare canvas and then the eye shadow.
You can put on prep & prime, shade stick, then eyeshadow.

Hey, I am rambling & I don't know if I answered your post. I just like variety. I can't be put in a box of one way to do something.

Gotta admit I love UDPP! I even have backups for when I run out! I don't think I'll ever use another base now!
