Hi ladies.. I need help.. hehe
I've been trying for years to find the perfect foundation without luck.. they are always meh..ok..so when the bottle runs out I end up trying a new one and so on...
As of now I am using Clinique's super balanced make up and Studio Tech

I like Clinique's one but the bad thing is that as soon as 20 min. of wearing I get oily
thmbdn.gif
so I have to blot.. plus it feels a little bit heavy.
nope.gif

Studio Tech I love the coverage but it leaves me with a powdery finish so.. I do not like that..

I have read so many reviews about MUFE, BOBBI BROWN, DIOR....and so many more... I am soo confused
cry.gif

so I do not know which one should I try..

I want a medium to full coverage foundation, matte finish, that can cover acne scars and redness.. is this a lot to ask? LOL
lol.gif

I have kind of like a bit of combo skin.. a bit of dry cheeks and everything else gets oily so.. what do you guys think?

TIA

i'd get as many samples as possible.

for your skin, i'd suggest doign something like this:

to fix a powder face:
get a large fluffy brush and spray with fix+ and lightly dampen the dry spots. i wear mineral makeup and this does the trick for me. avoid putting too much on areas that get shiny. for you, focus on the cheeks and lightly go over everything else. and then you can apply blot powder or some oil control powder in the T zone only. i use silk natural oil control primer and mac blot powder.

Ditto.. try sampling as many as possible. Finding the perfect foundation is like finding the perfect man.. almost impossible

but doable!!

You should try the sculpt foundation is the best foundation in the world, and I myself use the tint moisturizer underneath.
I am always looking for the next best thing but so far I love the sculpt one.

I second trying MUFE Mat Velvet + or the HD foundation, although it seems the mat makes me look better in real life, whereas the HD helps me look better in photos. I suffer from acne, too. I'd say go sample them all!

I agree get samples first and see which one(s) will work out the best for you. Try Studio Fix Fluid (it's the best. It covers redness nicely.) Also try studio sculpt (although I think SFF gives better coverage but it's buildable too) and if you have a PRO store near by try the Full Coverage one (that one covers ALOT) and you only need a little bit of that one. So try getting a sample of this also. Hope that this helps you and whoever wants to try good coverage foundation. Oh and just an advice for the Full Coverage foundation it might feel a bit heavy (it doesn't to me) but if it does you can always sheer it out with a damp sponge.
I know there's more somewhere in my head but I think that for now this would do. *Wink*

I've been wanting to try Studio fix but my thing is that I've heard it is a thick foundation and I do not like the heavy feeling..

Without any sun, MAC foundation is still a shade too dark for me, but Bobbi Brown porcelain is the perfect shade for me. So, some time back I began using her oil free compact foundation and have been very pleased. It's full coverage but not at all heavy. I have redness, major brown spots from sun, I took accutane years ago so I can empathize with the acne scarring, and my t-zone still gets a little oily and I still have to be careful about what I put on my face. I have not had good luck with Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturizer - don't go there. The creme-silk foundation is a winner though. I have tried a sample of Bobbi's new skin foundation but I only tried it once so I can't really say if I'm crazy about it or not. When I was using MAC studio fix fluid I didn't have any problems with it at all. Blot powder, if you like a super matte finish might be a great product for you. But, I would really just suggest their select sheer pressed powder - I keep it in my purse ever day for touch ups and it's really a great powder. I honestly think you'd be pleased with the studio fix fluid - and I liked it better than the compact. I'd probably be using it if the shade matched better! Good luck!
