Ehm, I know I'm replying very late but I stumbled on this.
I too, have your problems. Oily, big pores, blah blah blah.
I still haven't found the perfect foundation, but these are things that work for me:
1) Colorstay Revlon (with softlex, oily/combo skin)- it isn't the nicest finish (more matte, I like glowy), but it STAYS..and with a bit of setting powder I don't get oily for 5 hours (a miracle for me). Doesn't cake up..but the coverage is eh.
2) The Bodyshop Flawless Skin Protecting Foundation - I love this finish! Medium to full coverage (it's buildable) 10 people on MUA reviewed it really well. It dries to a very matte finish and looks natural..but it's too much on my wallet ($25...but it lasts me two - three months..). Also, I find it doesn't control oil very well, but it's ok with something like MAC blot.
3) Rimmel Lasting Finish Enriched with Minerals - Heavy coverage, stays put pretty well, gets oily fast if you don't put a good powder overtop. It just felt too heavy on my face, but the results were decent..and it's cheap, worth a look!
I want to try Urban Decay's new 12-hour concealer. Honestly, I'd do Revlon Colorstay or (TBS) plus a good concealer (even pick up maybelline's mineral one, it's decent). Having a full-coverage foundation is a pain in the ass, cause it feels heavy all over. I'd get into the habit of covering spots, and then using a sheerer wash of foundation. I break out way less when I do this.
FOUNDATIONS I HATE FOR OILY/ACNE PRONE SKIN: (helping you cut down your list of things to try hopefully!)
1) everyday minerals! never wear this alone if you have oily skin
Eww...rubbed off everywhere on my boyfriend's clothes. I use it overtop of foundation sometimes though cause I got a good color match
2) maybelline foundations! They're awful on me, just slides right off.
3) studio sculpt foundation! eek this broke me out, made me really oily, and caked on my face
sorry girls..
4) cover fx...nice coverage, but sticks to every hair on your face, cakes up, slides off, and transfers to your cellphone
Hopefully that helps! Good luck.
