Best order to apply your cosmetics?!

My rountine is:

Hair.
Cleanser,
tone,
moisterize

Eyes
- Highlight,
lid,
crease,
inner corner,
eyeliner,
mascara,
lashes.
Face
- prime,
foundation,
concealer on eyes,
concealer on blemishes,
fix +,
powder,
blush,
contour,
highlight,
Fill in eyebrows.
Lips
- Prime,
lipstick,
gloss.

In that exact order

gel eyebrows to set them(after shadow and foundation so u dont mess them up once they set)

11. Eye brows - brow powder and setting gel from MAC
12. Blush

Here's my routine:

1. wash and moisturize face
2. Apply foundation primer
3. Apply lip balm
4. Apply e/s base
5. Apply e/s, liner and mascara
6. Do my eyebrows
7. Apply foundation
8. Apply blush and highlighter
9. Apply l/s and l/g
10. Do my hair, which is usually just put some moose in it!

It really depends what you're comfortable with. I like to do my eyes before my face coz I'm too lazy to apply powder that catches fall out. I do the eyes, wipe the fallout with a q-tip and then do foundation

My routine:

1. Wash my face (while in the shower - I shower every morning first thing).
2. Apply moisturizer to dry areas.
3. Apply UDPP to eyelids and allow to dry.
4. Apply all remaining eye makeup. (Though sometimes I wait until after applying foundation to complete any eye makeup on my lower lashline.)
5. Wipe away any eyeshadow fallout.
6. Apply primer with SPF protection all over my face (Avon's Magix).
7. Apply foundation.
8. Dust with powder.
9. Apply blush (very, very lightly).
10. Apply lipstick.

and I'm done!

It's been really interesting to see how many specktra members do foundation after eyes makeup and vice versa.

I've got Rae Morris' (Australian Makeup Artist) book and she swears by doing foundation last after cleaning up fallout, but this method doesn't really work for me.

I find it better to put on my foundation and concealer prior to the eye makeup, apply eye makeup by pressing to mimimise fallout, get rid of any fallout that results (and re-apply foundation/concealer if really necessary) and then do cheeks, highlighting etc. afterwards.

I've tried applying foundation post-eye makeup but it was rather tricky around the outer V and bridge of the nose area and not blending into the eye makeup and stuffing that up! But that's just me!! I am un-co. lol.

Fix Spray (sometimes)

Cleanse (I absolutely only exfoliate my face at night before bed, daily with AHA and BHA, never before applying makeup)

Moisturize (let skin fully absorb moisturizer for 5-10 minutes)

Concealer where needed for blemishes or discoloration
