Black Diamonds, would you say yes?

So if your fiance proposed and when you opened the box there was a ring with a black diamond, would you say yes?

Or would the color if the rock make you say no?

i haven't seen a black diamond in person but i totally want a canary yellow diamond with two white diamonds on the side of the big stone. haha yea i'm a dork and i already have my ring picked out.

I dunno if I would want one though, black has to many subtle meanings.

If my husband had proposed with a black diamond ring, I'd have said yes. Black diamonds are very unique and pretty. But, honestly, I'd have said yes to him even if there wasn't a ring at all. That kind of stuff just doesn't matter much to me. I wanted to marry him, so I wouldn't have been picky about the details.

I would accept anything that had some thought put into it, within reason (I don't want a garishly large ring or a blood diamond.) I would like a stone that has significance, like the stone of the month proposed or the stone of the month we got together.

I have to add that if someone was to ask me to marry them and I was to say no to the person even though i love them just beacuse of the color of the diamond they gave me i would have to slap myself in the face and then tell them not to marry me! haha

I mean seriously a ring is a ring its the meaning behind it that matters if my man were to give me a plastic ring from the 25c machine and ask me to marry him i would be soo freaking happy just beacuse of the meaning if a ring is the reason your getting married do yourself a favor save the money that you would have been using on the divorce and buy yourself the ring of your childhood dreams.

I agree that the whole ring-thing is kinda disturbing at times. If you really loved that man, would you say not because he gives you a ugly ring? Pffff... I can buy diamonds for myself from my own money. It's nice if he gives me one but I dont need that to love him.
I wouldnt like a guy breaking up with me or being upset because I gave him the wrong birthday present.

I prefer regular diamonds becuase of the whole sparkle factor. I think it would look cool to have black paves on the band where the stone sits. I'm also a bit on the dark-side too so I might be into something like that.
I don't really see the appeal of them though especially if they cost more and don't sparkle!

I would probably say yes to my boy even if he didn't give me a ring. If the colour of your diamond is what makes or breaks a proposal, then I think people should be re-evaluating their relationship.

Honestly, I'd rather not have an engagement ring at all. I'd be perfectly content with just the wedding ring.

However, if presented with an engagement ring, there is no way in hell I would say no because of the colour of the diamond! It's just a rock!

Okay so I'm sold on the black diamonds. I looked at some pictures of rings on froogle.com and I think a white diamond/black diamond combo is pretty f-in awesome!
