Buying collections

I get what I will use. I spent about $65 on Danse and $105 on ICON. I figure I will spend about $70 on Barbie but that is up to change.

I think it depends on what I like. I won't buy things to just buy things; rather buy them because I really like them.

I usually find myself spending about 100$

I usually spend ~100 on collections, $110 on danse, $93 on icon

i really can't afford it, but when i do get money i tend to spend about $100 at a time... i'm planning on getting both icon quads and all the barbie e/s's and maybe some beauty powder, but i'm not sure yet because i REALLLLLY need brushes!

Oh I am so glad I don't live near a MAC store...if I did I will be right there with you ladies.....but I can control myself better since I have to order everything!

I only buy what I'll wear, but sometimes I get a little mad at myself for ALWAYS BUYING THE SAME COLORS ... argh, why do I do that? I bought Lychee Luxe saturday and when I put it in my l/g box I see I have at least two almost identical colors already ...

I learned my lesson a long time ago. I only buy things I'll definitely use or are kind of unusual.
Like, I dunno. I'll probably never use that red Deliniate fluidliner but I just *had* to have that for some reason.
I think I typically get maybe 2 things from a collection? I'll spend somewhere between $30 and $60.

I think the last thing I went nuts on was the She Shines Pigments. I got 5 of those.

I make it a rule that I actually try collection items instead of just buying everything because of the hype. Then I try to pick out the outstanding items.

To be honest, I think I have enough makeup to last decades (aside from foundations). I am going to TRY to stay off LE for a while, maybe make an exception if I see something that drives me sleepless or want hurt and maim for. Also, I am going to jump on the only-buy-from-the-regular-line wagon. This way I will only be buying when I need it and not because of fear it runs out. MY

I only buy what I'll wear. I am new to MAC and so far I only bought 2 from Raquel and 2 from Barbie (but am waiting for the replenishment to get more). I am guessing I'll end up getting 4 more from Barbie. So addicting and I am getting easily jealous when other girls get this and that... aaarrrrggghhh!!!!

Usually I will only buy 1-4 items per collections.

But for barbie loves mac, I bought the whole collection except eyeliners,lipliners & mascara. Barbie is the collection that makes me addicted to MAC.

Agree about Barbie. That's the only collection that I *almost* bought everything. The rest of them... usually just a couple of items if I like it.

ill only buy colours i like and think will go well on me. and because im a poor student i cant even buy all the stuff i would like so i have to downsize my shopping lists pretty much. but i fear that c-shock, the pigments, msfs and mineralize eyeshadows this year will break the bank.

i wanted at least a moth brown from barbie but when i finally had the money they were sold out. im currently thinking of getting me the provence pigment from strange hybrid as well. pigments are quite rare here because my counter just sells the ones in collections...

From the barbie collection, I bought one of everything except Mothbrown, I bought 3 of those. I bought 4 e/s, 2 l/g, 2 l/s, and both blushes from strange hybrid.

With new collections, it all looks so beautiful and new. I usually can't sleep because I am so excited about the new stuff. LOL

Up until now I've resisted the limited edition items but I've recently ordered the yogamode beauty powder from RW and today I bought the strange hybrid petalpoint blush. I really only buy things I love though as I can't afford to buy lots for the sake of it, being a student.
