Chanel Collection Reflets d'Été de Chanel - Summer 2014

I just received Mirage ido and am really disappointed with it. Im an nc44 and on me, its really sheer...barely noticeable on the lid. It simply looks like a sheer tint of color...almost like a nude lip tint for the eyes. I ordered utopia and new moon and really hope im not as unimpressed as I am with this =(

i can't tell them apart when i turn the bottles sideways but for some reason on my nail Pink Tonic looks a tad lighter than RE did when i used it

Maybe it's jellier and brighter, I hope they're not completely twins

I have a feeling that there's a reason after naming the collection "reflets d'ete" .....

That's a bummer! What is your skintone? Is it very glittery?

Im an Nc44 in MAc and Tahoe with Nars foundation. Its shimmer but not glittery...very subtle. I have been playing with it and for the color to show well it needs to be built up. Itll probably grow on me eventually. I guess im just used to my other idos =)

@Icecaramellatte do you think Cheeky is similar to the Riri Fall blush, the color ? Bad Girl Gone Good?

i luv the color of that blush on me,and would luv to find one similar in chanel or other High End brand. cause i know i would use it alot.

Lol thats okay. Its a nice color just feel that for that much money it would have better payoff in one or two swipes the most. Im assuming on fairer tones it will work well with one.

I'm waiting on the blush. My chanel guy says I should to be sure because he is afraid it may not have enough pink to it & could look muddy or more like a sculpting shade. He was just guessing though because they didn't get the collection yet.

I just placed an order for New Moon. I've been waiting on it since I saw the look Lisa Eldridge did on Kiera Knightley with it. I hope it isn't disappointing!

Good question! No I don't think so. BBGG is warmer and peachier. Cheeky is pinker in comparison.

Stopped by my local counter on my way home from work. They had most of the collection. I purchased mirage, utopia, the purple mascara, and happy. I passed on cheeky bc it looked like poop on me (literally). Too brown for my skin tone. It would be lovely on someone who has a tan or has a darker skin tone. Most of the glossimer a were pretty colorless except happy does show up a bit and I got it on impulse. The others look so darn pretty in the tubes, but the impart no color just glossiness. They did not have new moon in yet, so I cannot comment on that. All of the np are nice, but I know that I have close dupes for all of them so I passed.

Me likes, glittery or not. Been wearing Nars Glitter Pencil Le Sept 2408 recently so I am up for the challenge. Now those are really migratory! Thanks for the wonderful pics and swatches, Icecaramellatte. New Moon is absolutely beautiful!

New Moon is really nice. It's the only thing I picked up from this collection.

Mirage matches it's description on me - nice neutral bronze. My mua recommended that I pass on cheeky and wait for the cute stripey bronzer/blush. She thinks that they will fly out the store.

I purchased Cheeky and have fair to medium skin. It gives a flushed look without the color of a pink or coral. Just a nice natural look for those who don't wear a lot of makeup...one of those "me but better." She put it on me with the #7 Chanel brush which I love so I don't have to mess with a sponge.

yup it does i was playing with them in the store as soon as i turned the bottle sideways i was like " ohhhh wait its not just a plain creme :shock: " its the Chanel shimmer sooo you know how that work aka shows slightly in bottle but not on nail unless standing under blinding sun but i'm a sucker for it its like a pink/fuchsia  shimmer

If it has the tipical chanel shimmer it is sold on me
