Rachel - I'm so glad it worked out for you.

Karester - yep, I've noticed that as well.

For me, its all about getting the skin to look good & this seems to accomplish that without feel like makeup.

Question regarding teint innocence. My Chanel SA told me that this foundation is not being discontinued in Canada except for the lightest shade. Can someone else in Canada confirm this? I wanna stock up on my summer shade if this is not actually the case

I really want to try this foundation!!!

I have stayed away from liquid foundations for such a long time for so many reasons, but I'm starting to try them again! I've been testing several lately (in my great foundation hunt 2011) and the new formulations are far superior than the versions of the past. I expected that to be the case, but I've been really blown away by the changes. None I've tried so far have been "the one", but this one has a serious chance...I hope to get a sample soon!

Do any other Canadians know why the SPF 15 has been "erased" (covered with a nude coloured strip to match the bottle) off Vitalumiere Aqua sold in Canada? It's also blacked out on the black box, but I can see where it used to be written. Does this mean they removed the SPF for sale in Canada? If yes, that's total BS!

I recently bought a bottle and I adore it, but one of the reasons I bought it was for the sun protection - so I get it home and notice it's blacked out. I wonder if the ingredient list is different?

Does the ingredient list on your box include the Octinoxate and Titanium Dioxide? Those are the sunscreen/sunblock ingredients.

Here's the full ingredient list from MUA:

My SA said it's because anything lower than SPF30 is not considered SPF in Canada. Sp it does have SPF15 but apparently it's not good enough for us, lol :D So they erase that line. The same is true for my bottle of Lancome Teint Miracle (also with SPF15)

I got this foundation over the weekend and I love it. I do find it to be more sheer than MAC F and B but easily buildable. Looks beautiful on and is weightless on the skin.

Finding a good shade can take some work. I am an NW15/N2. Originally I was color matched in BR10. Looked gorgeous in the store but was too pink/dark in natural light. I went back and tried B10 and it was perfect.

My Chanel SA was telling me that they will have a brand new foundation of some sort in a couple of months. She says the company is being very hush hush about it. Anyone else hear about this?

oy.. more hush hush stuf.. lol. yea, but mum's the word... verboten

April.. I got the B20 and it was fine for my summery/wintery caribbean tan, but midweek I started looking a bit orange and so I started to mix products which I was not to happy with.. I have to get the B10 now, and mix.. grr. Unless I just keep wearing my Parure which is a great colour and similar texture.

I've been anxious to try the new Vitalumiere Aqua so I stopped by the Chanel counter and they tried B20 on me (I think). The lighting in the store wasn't good so I asked for some samples - the MA gave me BR10 and B20. I thought it was odd that she gave me one 'yellow' and one 'pink'.

Does this foundation oxidize much during the day? If it does, I may need the B10. The BR shades look a little too pink for my skin and I need something to neutralize some of the red in my skin. I'm usually NW20 in Mac but I've been wearing BE and mix light with fairly light.

BE fairly light and light match mac NC20/25 not NW. These two colors have very strong yellow undertone, and nw is pink.

No, I have not found it to oxidize at all. I bought the B10 - I'm a NW15 with pink undertones, but the B seems to cover that nicely. I too found that the BR was too dark.

Thanks. I stopped at another Chanel counter and they recommended B20. B10 was too light for me.

just dropping in to ask if you guys think this new vl aqua foundation would suit my skin type - most of my face is dry however i do get a little shiney on the t zone area throughout the day. also i am nc20 in mac foundations so do you think the lightest colour of this would work for me? i shall be going to the counter tomorrow but i trust what you ladies say over the sales person! and also i am thinking of getting the loose powder that chanel do. is that worth the money? because it's about £30 in the uk which is very pricey for a powder. however if it goes well with the foundation i might splurge! TIA!

Lou, I have combo skin too (dry chin and nose but get oily in the day) and this foundation works great for me. I do set it with powder though as I think all foundation should be set to be longer lasting. I use Ben Nye translucent powder and works great for me. I don't have any experience with Chanel powders though so maybe some of the other ladies can help you.

For your shade, I think B10 (the lightest shade) should be ok. I use B20 and I'm NW20-25 in MAC (darker than NW20 but lighter than NW25).

i saw your blog post on the foundation a few weeks ago and i thought it looked amazing on you! so i am pleased that it is working well for you! and yes i usually set my foundation with a powder but usually i use cheapy drugstore stuff or mac powders. so that is why i am a little hesitant to drop so much money on a powder if it isn't worth it!

Lou, I have normal skin, with a bit or oil on the T zone (still ? ).. lol. I have had no problems with either drying skin or breakouts -- I use Kryolan powder when it's extremely humid, and Chanel poudre no. 1 when it's normal or for evening.
