I got a brochure on the velvets, they are launching at the studios on 30 Sep and one week later at other counters. We are also getting 2 new RA extrait de gloss, Exuberance and Euphorique. The colour swatch in the brochure is terrible, so I can't tell what shades they are. For the velvets, we are getting La Furtive, L'Elegante, and La Distinguee, instead of La Somptueuse, La Sensuelle, and L'Exquise in Karla's list.

Disappointing that we aren't getting La Sensuelle, but I'm excited that we are getting two extrait de glosses. Can't wait to try them at the counters! The brochure confirms that the model is wearing La Fascinate.

I also agree that those are bold colours. Together with the matte finish they create a really eyecatching look. That's something some will hate, some will hate - it's up to personal taste, I think. I love this look for fall!

Thank you for the amazing swatches! I still haven't managed to decide how I feel about these yet. I must admit it's nice to not be overwhelmed by need for a change!

I am back to wanting La Raffinée, La Distinguée and La Somptueuse. Too bad we're not getting La Distinguée!

Thanks for the link Winthrop! My choices are up in the air again, the swatches look much different on this person than Anneri's swatches. :( La Sensuelle looks more like a deep fuschia, La Sompteuse a soft/strawberry red, and La Fascinate a pink-red. I think these swatches might be truer to me since she seems to have more yellow-toned skin. Definitely going to have to try everything in person, but as of now looks like only La Fascinate's coming home with me. However...L'Exquise is intriguing me now.

I tried on La Fascinante yesterday. The lighting is absolutely horrific at my Chanel counter and it looked very brick red in the store. I passed, since it's not a shade I wear very often. Seeing the swatches here, I'm thinking I should go back and try it on again, but make a point of walking outside.

Man, I was so set on trying to find the right shade in the new foundation, I forgot to check for the new lippies. I don't remember seeing the promo pic at the counter, though so maybe we didn't get it around here yet. :sigh:

Chanel.com told me end of October for the Velvets in the US and that to their knowledge we will not get La Distinguee even as a store exclusive. I'm hoping they're wrong on both counts though.

I saw the velvets today, and I'm so surprised that I like almost all of them! They are all very wearable shades, saturated but with some slip when I swatched. I like all the 8 shades chanel is selling at my counters. I'm pleased that we are getting La Furtive, L'Elegante, and La Distinguee, instead of La Somptueuse, La Sensuelle, and L'Exquise because they are more wearable, for me at least. Elegant is like the in between of Raffinee and Exuberante, it is pink but not as bright as Exuberante. La Furtive is a beige pink, gorgeous as well. Fascinate and Ravissante are gorgeous too. I'm in trouble I want so many of these I don't know which to start with, maybe Elegant and Distinguee/Furtive.

It is a gorgeous pink, quite close to Imaginaire, but more pink. Truly is euphoric like the name says! I hope chanel comes out with the lipstick equivalent, maybe in RA forumula. Exuberance is a bright, intense pink like the lipstick equivalent.

I'm happy to say Pirate is the red np for me too! It went on quite pink on the first coat, but it dried darker. And with a second coat, it is the red I want. bis, you are right! Rose Cache is a surprise too, I like it a lot. It reminds me of OPI Tickle My Fancy, but with the chanel finish of micro shimmers. winthrop, I wonder if you like it because you like nude/beigey shades like the one you bought from the summer collection. Rose Exuberante is brighter than Rose Insolent, and less warm, not a must have for me. The velvet top coat is nice too, but I'm not a matte np fan.

Glad you liked Pirate and the new Velvets. And I am not googling the new colors of the Velvets, neither of the EDG you mentioned. I will not. And Rose Cache also not. Did you get Pirate or just swatch it? Heading over to the other thread to see if you saw the Holiday Collection.

^ lol.. that's the one I wanted too and it was sold out in Milan.. they are supposed to restock -- but hell if they even know when!

winthrop - Did the US not get Pirate and Rose Cache np? I'm confused too, I thought you did. I guess the US will be the new extrait de glosses, maybe with another collection. Ok, I check Karlasugar's sneak peak and it says US will get the collection in late October, after the holiday collection, and you will get the nps.

bis - I haven't buy Pirate. I'm waiting for my usual counter to get the collection, and then I will get Pirate and Euphorique and a velvet. Hoping to use my vouchers but I don't think I have enough to pay for all three. Everything is perm, right?

A quick pic: Rose Exuberant, Rose Cache, Pirate, Pirate & velvet top coat, thumb Rose Insolent. I think Rose Exuberante may be closer to Riveria (I don't have it).

Thanks for the pics. I guess the nps come out with the Velvets which we don't get till the end of the month. So maybe we will get the EdGs then too?

Pirate came out here with the Velvets, so I guess you get them at the same time? No new EdG here though (and I am still not googling them. 24h, not too bad ;)) MissQQ, Love your swatches and especially your nails :)
