I picked up Evanescente a couple of days ago. I had no intention of getting it, because I had just purchased EL's Private Collection Tuberose and Gardenia (quite pricey), but I went over to have a quick look at the new RA's and fell in love with it, colour, texture, sheen, everything! Plus, it's shade number 88, and 8's my lucky number, so that pretty much sealed the deal! It didn't really look like the shade in that pic of Keira Knightley though, at least swatched on my hand. In the pic, it looks more peachy pink.

I am officially on a very long no-buy now, lol! I had a small relapse over the summer and the above-mentioned purchases were pretty much like an overdose! (I'm blaming it on the evil boss and the need for therapy)!

How have you been? Are things better with the evil boss situation? How are your kids?

I'm glad you got your hands on Evanescente. I wish we would get it here! Does it lean more nude pink on you? That is what I'm looking for :)
After the Holiday collection comes out, I'm going to be good for a while. I really have a "I have to be crazy in love with it to buy it" rule now!

I've been thinking of you while we've been building the house! I remember all of the fun things you were working on. We have our final walk thru this Thursday and then close on the 15th. Halleluja!

How exciting! I bet everything is going to be super beautiful. Make sure to take your time during the walk through, don't let the rep from the builder rush you. We just had our two year anniversary in our house and we finally got around to picking up the tiles for our kitchen backsplash, so the fun continues!

The evil boss is still... evil! All of my colleagues are at their breaking point, it's so sad and frustrating to see someone so evil getting away with it for so long. Still waiting for some karma to go her way! But, the family is doing well, so really... that's all that matters in the end. I hope your girls are well, they must be really excited too!

Is Evanescente not available in the U.S.? I wouldn't call it a nude pink, but it's definitely a natural mauvey pink shade imo.

^^I'm already noticing little things here and there that need to be fixed . . . I have my list. I picked Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue as my front door color and powder room color and I was worried how it would turn out, but I really love it. It's fun/stressful at the same time, but I just can't wait till we're in. What colors did you pick for your kitchen backsplash?

So sorry about evil boss . . . still. That makes life hard. But glad your family is doing well!

I don't think Evanescente is in the US right now. I haven't seen it on Chanel.com I tracked down Naive RA on Ebay that I have wanted forever. I put in on and really like it, although it looks exactly like a MAC lippie I already have lol

Oh, no problem. Somehow I thought the RC formula would be more sheer than the RA formula. I have no idea why I thought that would be the case.

Finally got to wear Palpitante, I likey :D Thought I share a pic with you guys, skintone is about NW25 now but this would look good on everyone I would imagine. I've got a gazillion reds (half of them Chanel) but I didn't mind having one more:




I find this new formula more comfortable to wear than RA's and I was already a big fan of RA's. I wanted to get Secrete too but it's not available in Canada :( We always get shafted here :/

Hope you're all doing well. Gtta stalk the holiday thread now...we're getting that collection in November!!!

My friend has RB and Famous and I own Famous and Lancome Rouge Fambourg 104, when you swatch these 3 they are eerily similar.

^^ Thanks my dear :) there are so many gorgeous reds in the new line. My SA gave me a sample card with all of them so I'm good for a while. I may go back and get Coromandel too though

I got my order of Coromandel delivered yesterday. It's beautiful. It has more red in it than Incandescente, while Incandescente has more orange. Both are lovely red-orange/orange-red shades.

Well.. Chanel is much better than the Lancôme formula. Lancôme has become the " budget " of the high end here as far as makeup is concerned. Such a pity because Aaron de Mey, artistic director is talented ! I've already seen the Holiday collection, it's not sa bad though. But the lipsticks are definitely not so good, Lancôme's target is very young women who are not used to wearing lipsticks.
I strongly recommand Chanel or the new beautiful Dior Diorific ( really great ! ) but Lancôme actually not.

I have really been impressed with Dior lately, they're taking steps in the right direction. I was told Lancome has made skin care their primary focus now and won't be putting much creative energy into their make-up.

Chanel Christmas is up in Canada! I got myself the quad last Thursday at the Bay! No need to wait til November:)))
