Chanel lipsticks - Rouge Coco, Rouge Allure, etc.

Went to several Chanel counters yesterday... and Antigone was out of stock at all of them

. Also no Misia and Aventure. I managed to swatch Biarritz. It's a muddy brown on tube but a gorgeous peach brown on my skin. But I'm not getting anything until I get to compare all of them *stayin' strong*

I couldn't resist Royallieu! I'm NW20(MAC) and I never thought about it before but I guess my lips aren't real pigmented. I do get some color from Royallieu and of course tons of shine!

Chance is the only RCS I have at the moment and I love it.

Cheryl, HG and others if you have LM too - do you think it's worth getting the LM gel lipstick when they cost $2 more than a Chanel? Or am I better off getting a chanel l/s? I got to swatch the LM ones and if I need one I'll pick Clementine/Hibiscus Bloom/Rosette.

As far as relative worth, imo the LMs should not cost more than the Chanels, but I think the 2 should be closer in price than they are here. I think LM could get a little more than $22 for her gel lipsticks and I think Chanel is overcharging a bit for the Shines (as much as I love them)..

I agree with you Winthrop -- the LM's are a better product overall than the RC shines (heresy again I know) .. but the colour payoff is excellent and they are priced well under what they should be @ 28 +/- .

Everyone should own Hibiscus Bloom. The colors last a bit longer than the shines. Why would the LM be more expensive when they are actually cheaper than shines?

TBLB - she's another one that everything looks great on her gorgeous lips. I really really liked Fetiche every time I've swatched it. I need to get that & Bonheur next

Thanks, MissQQ! I swatched Antigone next to MAC l/g Fierce and Fabulous sheered out, it's almost the same lovely color. Of course Antigone has better texture! But being a little frugal, I could hold of buying it for now

I bought Antigone, the last piece at my counter, and Sari d'ea today! Almost bought Monte Carlo, and forgot to swatch fetiche. New stocks arrived but I got the last Antigone, so it is sold out again!

^^ Yay, congrats on getting your new iMac! It must be looking very pretty on your desk! Have not worn Antigone yet, maybe will wear it tomorrow or weekend. Sari d'eau is bright and pigmented, I was surprised when I put it on. But it is transparent and glossy so I can wear it in the office. It also stains my lips lightly.

Congrats on the iMac Elegant! I'm a long-time Mac girl (in both senses) and I swear by mine (both the iMac and the iPhone).

I wore Antigone today and I'm just in love with it all over it again. A perfect summer red.

Well, I'm still learning

but its not as bad as I thought it would be. Hubby set everything up - because I am challenged a little. He set it up pretty much the way my HP was. I really love it the more I use it. Mac does make amazing products - & they look so beautiful.

I was right at a very crucial work deadline when my HP wouldn't turn on with ALL of my work/data etc. inside it

Fortunately, we backed most of it up in hubs' computer & we bought the iMac just days before the laptop went down. So, I'm trying to make the best of it. I will say that it was very reasonably priced for what you get compared to everything else out there.

The kids have all MAC everything so they wanted us to go this route anyway I guess the new iphones come out this fall.
