Miss QQ, I think we need the quad! It looks like it should work with our skintone!

Bis, I haven't tried Hypnose, but for years used Lancome's Deficils and loooved it. Right now, I use Maybelline's Define-a-lash (green tube), but perhaps when it's done, i'll splurge on the Hypnose. How smudge-resistant is it? I have issues with smudging!

My kids each have an Advent calender, but ya... try and tell them to only have one chocolate per night! So, not sure if they'll have anything left by Christmas eve, but oh well!

Elegant, I miss coming on here, things have just been so incredibly busy lately. This week is no exception, my aunt is visiting and this is only the third time she's been able to make the trip in my lifetime! So we're trying to balance going to my mom's while getting the kids home early enough that they don't fall asleep during the school day! We'll be there tonight to celebrate a certain someone's birthday... (it's not actually today though). I need to tell you though that I went out and got some ribbon to trim the tree this year, thanks to your picture of your lovely tree! It turned out so nice!

All this talk about Advent calendars makes me giggle! Growing up my family had a version with a huge Christmas tree on the top portion with the pockets below that each held 1 ornament for the tree. So every day I'd open up the pocket and stick that day's ornament on the tree. It was fun, but of course as a kid I always wanted one of those cheapy cardboard versions with the terrible chocolates inside, lol.

More decorating/wrapping/prepping is on the list today! I finished wrapping my empty boxes and today I have to make the bows for them and cut a hole in the bottom of each so I can stick the battery pack for my light strands inside them. I can't stand looking at cords and plugs, so I always have to find a way to hide them and this trick is probably my favorite.

Chanel related: Every picture we see makes me feel like I need more from the Spring collection! I really love the look of the quint, but I'll need more info about the texture and color payoff before I make my decision. The JC is mine, at least 1 (probably 2) of the NP's, most of the lipsticks, and possibly a glossimer (if it isn't too sheer). I can't wait for swatches!

Hypnose is really smudge-resistant on me. When I open a new tube the effect I get on my lashes is not too spectacular because the formula is a bit liquid.
But no smudging, none at all on me. When I come close to the 3 months I get some flaking, but that's all.

And I agree about elegant_ones tree, it looks perfect, like out of a magazine.

I love hypnose and use it all the time, but it smadges like crazy on me - but just under my eyes from my lower lashes.

I want the cardboard one with chocolates too.

^^ Thanks. It's up on Karlasugar too.

I wonder how Espiegle compares to Fresque JC. Fresque turned orange on me when I tried it (fall 2009), but now blushes don't turn orange on me as much, so hopefully Espiegle will stay a true peach on me.

I'm worried about that peach blush turning orangey. And, I am having second thoughts about the es quad colors

Oh I cannot wait for that those ombres perlees to be mine
yahoo.gif
, they seem soooo beautiful and the combinations are many ...

Btw, we don't use this advent calender thing in here and I've checked on the internet and the idea sounds lovely (specially for kids, though I am not refusing to do one myself). My question is, do you make your own advent calenders or is it something you can buy around?

Almus, I'm sure they can be made, but they're available for purchase just about everywhere! My daughter has a hello kitty one, my son has Toy Story!

I really like the look of Jersey Rose!

They have so many different kinds of advent calanders. If you are crafty, you can make one yourself. Here is a cute one by Pottery Barn:

Here are some cute ones for younger ones:

My mom used to make them for us growing up. She would put candies or little presents in the pockets. I love them!! If you google patterns for advent calenders, I bet you can find some. They sell them at lots of stores here in the US.

I LOVE the color of Jersey Rose! How dumb that they put the watermark OVER her face when describing makeup! They could have moved it down.

This is one of my favorite Advent Calenders. It is adorable!!!! I almost bought it for the kids:

Oh I like that! Something to consider for next year! I really want to get new stocking holders, we have two right now for the kids, but I want to have four stockings up and want the holders to match (but of course!). Pottery barn had a set of four that spelt Noel, need to check if they still sell it!

I think that is so cute that it spells Noel! You just cannot go wrong with just about anything from Pottery Barn. I can always spend so much time milling around there.

omg.. I just realized what I don't like about this site anymore.... it's like going into one of the chain restaurants where you have 22 pages for the menu offerings.. and you can't even begin to look cause it turns off your apetite.. versus the small cozy bistro which offers a few really well made dishes.. I just found you guys today!

hallelujah.. and well, back on topic..

I don't know about the new pearl colours -- I am considering getting the Guerlain perles but those are the balls.. I am not sure about the colours in this collex.

has anybody seen anything yet?

Miss QQ, Fresque turned orangey on me as well. I hope this one would be better on me too. I noticed most peachy JCs oxidize on me, for instance Candy turns into a muddy nude color. It actually looks fine but I can't get it to stay peach on me.
