Bonitinha I went to 3 different Guerlain counters looking for Gardenia to swatch for you. No one had it because they said it was discontinued :((((

I got my Horizon and Flirt! Haven't play with them yet, but they look so pretty. As for the appreciation gift, it is the snow globe!

I hope you ladies get it too. Or something even better, like the beautiful calendar. Maybe Chanel is just very slow this year with the gifts..

Maybe one of the new spring Rouge Gs will be perfect for you Michelle.

I pity any snow globe that finds its way to me.

Hi Ladies,

I just read about Guerlain's Gardenia lipstick and wow! That's indeed a beautiful pinky nude. Are you looking for it Michelle? I can check at the counters in my city if you want =)

The Spring collection has been released here this week. I went to MAC to check if there was still some Flamingo l/s available for a Specktrette (I did not have any luck, although there are still Party Parrot and Scaler Ibis in there) and the Chanel counter is just in front of MAC. I saw the Horizon blush on the display and I ran there to swatch it: It was perfect, like it was just taken out for the display so I though "I am lucky, I might be the first one in pulling my finger over it
yahoo.gif
". So I rub my finger over it and I noticed I was not getting any product, so I was like "What the h***? I read the pigmentation was very nice!" so I rubbed my finger harder this time when suddenly I noticed there was "another" Horizon blush next to the one I was trying to swatch. So I took my hurting finger away and "knocked" on the blush I was trying to swatch from the beginning and guess what? YES, it was plastic!!! It was a decorative item!

Ok, so after the first two minutes of total failure, I got to swatch everything. So far I like Grenat and Horizon, but I have liked to try the blush on my face, so maybe I'll go back to the store with my brush to try it out. I am in a no-buy-more-eyeshadow phase, although I love how the quad looks. On the lipsticks, I loved Bagatelle.

Almus, that could have been me :) Let us know what you get, I think Horizon is an absolute beauty and I love the soft shimmer and freshness it gives. Very wearable.

I know, I'm so sad I missed out on the Guerlain Gardenia! If you could check around for it, that would be great. Although I have no idea of the shipping costs here??
I loved your story about swatching the plastic blush. That is totally something I would do lol Let us know what you end up picking up!

Yay, yay, yay! I was finally able to see the spring collection today, but not actually play with it! I decided to go to the Bay today to pick up my Clarin's foundation, which was supposed to be a quick in and out trip. There is a Chanel counter at the Bay closest to our home, but it's not the one I generally shop at. None-the-less, I decided to have a quick look to see if the spring collection was there. I walked over, but didn't see any display, but there were two SA's standing there and as soon as I walked over, they both looked over, so I figured I'd ask. Turns out that they did have it, but since they didn't have the testers yet, they didn't have the display out. Anyway, I was able to see everything and purchase if I wanted to. So, without swatching anything, I brought home the Horizon blush (eeek, how expensive!), Paradis l/s, and May n/p, (this didn't seem all that unique, but I generally like the formula). The quad actually looked quite pretty, but it didn't seem to be a must have for my collection.

I'm not sure if my usual counter will call me this week to let me know that the collection is in, but when I went by before the holidays to inquire, I got a bit of attitude from them since I apparently told them I wasn't interested in the holiday collection!!! Seriously, ladies, you guys get gifts for being loyal customers, I get attitude for skipping one collection... wth? Well... if I do get the call and mention that I picked up the items already, I guess I'll pretty much be black listed! Oh well, life goes on, right?!

Almus, what a cute story!

Hope everyone is well and had a wonderful weekend.

^^ The blush is really expensive. I was surprised too. It costs the same as the holiday highlighter, which has more product I think. Hope you like your new goodies!

Almus - lol. The plastic dummy and the real Horizon actually look very similar. The powder seems to have a sheen, and that makes it look plastic. When I picked up my Horizon, the SA opened it to show it to me and I suspected it was a dummy she gave me because of the sheen and how hard the surface of the powder looks. Hope you get to try it on your face, it's beautiful.

I put on Horizon in a hurry this morning and it's so pretty. It gives a soft blushing like what the name suggests, which is good for putting on in a hurry because I won't risk looking like a clown with a bright patch or uneven blush on each side of my cheeks. However, I find the colour strips unnecessary - they could sell it cheaper with the same overalll colour and finish. $100 for a blush is really expensive.

Thanks Miss QQ! Ouch, is that $100 U.S.? Here, the price was $74 Canadian (and we're close to par with the U.S. atm).

The Horizon blush does look super gorgeous, not sure when I'll actually start using it though, because it is so pretty! I found a good part of the collection to be very springy in terms of the colours. Considering the three items I picked up were all pink, maybe I'll hold off another couple of months until I really feel like spring is on its way! My husband actually surprised me with flowers last week to cheer me up, since work has made me feel kinda down lately. The colours in the bouquet were very spring-ish, which made me even more excited for spring (even though here, it's a good three full months away still). I think I'll be picking up flowers to get me through till then!

Nora -- I'm glad you could go play with the Spring collection. I was afraid to use Horizon at first, too. Once I swiped it I was hooked -- it is so pretty!
Sorry to hear you have been down. I am waiting for warmer weather, too. Blah to winter!!

MissQQ -- wow, the blush is expensive there. I guess I should consider mine a bargain! I really do love it and will probably get a ton of use out of it

Thanks Michelle... I'm sure I'll be tempted to use the blush sooner than later, but is it weird that I get a lot of enjoyment looking at it in its unused state?! Paradis is also really pretty to look at!!!

I actually haven't opened up the box yet, but is there more actual product in this blush?

No, this makes perfect sense! It is just so darn pretty in the pan. I looked on the back and it says that Horizon blush is 15 g compared to a regular JC that is 6 g. I looked on the back of last summer's Bronze Rose and it is 14 grams (but looks bigger in the pan than Horizon --- must just be the packaging). I do think there is a good amount of product in there. So the cost is totally justified ;)
