I really don't think meteorites are meant for us. It just looks like some fairy dust on dark skin (and not in a good way). I like the look of the Chanel compact, but if the price is over $80, I'm completely out. If it's under, I'll need to swatch it first and even then I might pass. I have a lot of highlighters and I don't reach for them on a regular basis even though some of them are really nice.

I so agree. I saw that when I started doing research on Meteorites before I decided to purchase. The descriptions for their three permanent colors show that they don't really cater to deeper complexions. I can't find where I read it, but the 03 Teint Dore shade that is said for darker skin tones I think is actually more for olive/golden skin. If that's considered their deepest shade, I knew to be prepared for it not to work. But the Meteorites are so pretty to look at and I was drawn to the Dragon one since I'm a Dragon sign. I was just hoping that it would work. However, I'm not at all surprised that it didn't. I'm really hoping the Chanel compact will be different.

I think that last year, Chanel and Guerlain had their Spring collections on counters IN DECEMBER. That's nuts if you ask me, but they didn't, so it might happen again.

Really?? Wow I need to stay on top of things better.

I'm having a hard time not looking at pics of that new Guerlain "Wulong" Meteorites compact even though it is crazy expensive. I really don't understand why the price is so high for it and the "Voyage" compact. I haven't seen them in person but they must be quite special, or you would think. It's really the powder I want and I figure they'll do refills at $55 like "Voyage" I was told the "Wulong" is best for warmer skin tones and the "Voyage" best for cooler skin tones. I don't know if the refill would fit in any other compact. If any of you know if it does or doesn't let me know.

Yes, I do recall the same - it was in December-) This is not surprising since the Christmas collections are long sold out by then and companies need sales, sales, sales!!!

I went back and checked Temptalia's collection reviews. She was reviewing products from the Chanel Spring collection from December 28th and it looks like it was already out in stores. We don't usually get Spring collections here until February. Any earlier would cause riots, since people would think that we were being mocked... It is decidedly not Spring here at that time.

Yep I do recall the spring collection being out in December too....though in Canada we got it much later, like in February or even March maybe.

I'm excited about the RA's!!! and the face powder is pretty but I still haven't got the Guerlain ballz as I had planned. I don't need too many lux face powders and think that the Guerlain one will suffice.

Yes the Spring collection was out way before Christmas.

I recall seeing in at Macy's in person first, then thinking about it and then ordering it from Chanel.com and hiding in my closet until Christmas eve.

I aslo got Guerlain Cruel Gardenia for Christmas which was spring.

December just seems like it's too soon for spring collections to launch. Winter usully starts to get into full swing around December in this area. Well, at least now I can add the collection to my gift list.

Cosmetics follow fashions. You will see the spring fashions from Chanel ect in stores in December, so will you find the makeup.

Plus December-Febuary is resort season, aka cruise, so you need cruise mu too!

Fashion is always a few seasons ahead.

I realize that fashion collections are released prior to the season. I still think there should be some adjustment to when makeup is released. Maybe just a delay of a month or two.
