How are you doing? Less stress with the house I hope? Somehow work gets in the way of talking about Chanel. Catch 22 somehowHello to Bis, Almus and MissQQ -- it seems we don't get to "chat" as much as we used to! Hope you all have a healthy and prosperous new year!
HNY! Is that your pic in your avatar? It looks familiar to me. LOLHappy New Year everyone!!
Hi Anneri! Are you still at the same job? Or have you switched? I remember you saying how busy it was. Hope things are going well! It's so nice to see so many Ratonas posting again!
I hope we'll see HG again soon!
So kind of you two to ask about my job!Anneri, how is everything going? Have you found your dream job? I hope all is well!!
So kind of you two to ask about my job!
Well, I had to quit the PR job in October. It really wasn't working, it was insanely busy and made quite a lot of money (for me, anyhow), but I was unhappy the whole time. I didn't like the field the agency specialised in and felt I had to be another person to be good at this job. So I quit, which resulted in a lot of unpleasant things, but at the end of the day, I think it was the right decicion. I really felt that life is too short to be unhappy every day and now I try to figure out what I would really like to do which is astonishingly difficult for me.
Otherwise, everything is good - apart from some health problems which annoy me a great deal because I feel I'm too young for this sort of thing - I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis.
Sadly, all of that combined put a damper on my high end and specifically Chanel purchases! I fortunately got some things from the holiday LE (not released in Germany, argh!) and am now looking forward to that glorious highlighter. Let's see what will win in the end - lemming or willpower?!
Very sorry to hear about your job, Anneri. I've gone through this a couple of times and, if it's dragging you down like that, it's absolutely the right decision to leave. That sort of poison can erode all the other parts of your life. Having taken that difficult step, give yourself time to figure out what you really want, either in the form of a dream job, or in setting reasonable limitations on what you expect from a job so that you can pursue the things most important to you on your own time.So kind of you two to ask about my job!

Exactly! You managed to put it in words much better than I could. I felt like a weirdo for some time, dropping out of a wellpaid job, but reading all your replies actually helped a lot. I felt know for some time that I'll never find my dream job, but your second suggestion is even better. It's maybe easier to navigate limitations than starting completely new. Thank you. And congrats to you, Almus! Well done!Very sorry to hear about your job, Anneri.
