But don't move the brush...keep it pressed against the base of the lashes. It almost keeps your eyes from closing. The tips of your lashes really shouldn't get anything on them. It just builds up the base and makes them look thicker. Then, go over the whole thing.
But the trick is to use a lash grooming brush (the kind that looks like a mascara wand) between coats. I get it behind the lashes...like go above them and twirl it outward, then apply another coat.
This is the kind of brush I use...except I use a super cheap-o version.

Thanks so much for sharing that! I'm going to give it a go today.

Yeah I never quite mastered or understood the need for these types of brushes. I think they were originally intended and created for applying the old school cake mascara or mascara from a tube...not for separating and getting rid of clumps. I don't even think MAC sells that type of mascara so I'm not sure why they would market a brush like that?? Except for like loose shimmer or getting rid of fallout...which I think other brushes do a better job of IMO...

I love this! and it REALLY does look clean. I tried these colors this weekend, and wish i had seen your FOTD first, this is really pretty (i looked a bit drag-ish).
Your lashes are to die for, i was gazing for ages... Have to go buy one of those wands, but i suspect you are just lucky!
