Disappointed in collections...

I agree - MAC is for everyone and a lot of people have not got large collections from the perm line and when they see a perm product being promoted as part of a LE collection then it is an opportunity to expand their collection and take advantage of the pretty packaging!

The collections so have a lot of LE items with a few complimentary perm repromotes in there.

I agree with you on this. Although I really did love Cult of Cherry, some of the others have been boring.

I'm only interested in one of the CCBs from Emanuel. The mineralize shadows, so boring! I'm not at all a fan of the holiday collections. I really dislike holiday stuff so much. Plus, you'll be able to find it in a few months at your CCO. I've seen the stuff from last year (?) there (and at almost every single one I've been to) for months!

I'll tell you what bothers me... Too many collections with too many repeats. Yes, not everyone is a die-hard MAC fan and I do understand that MAC does try to draw attention to their colors.. BUT-- instead of having a "collection" with repromotes or perms, why not have a "Monthly Spotlight" type grouping of perm colors they want to repromote instead of wasting money on new packaging, its still the same darn color...OR if they are going to repromote colors that were LE, why not do a 4x year collection called "Welcome Back" or whatever.. (hello, petticoat?), then do a release of NEW stuff.

Whenever I hear about a new collection coming out, I can't wait to see it.. then I'm deflated when its repromote of something from only a few collections ago... Now, if they repromoted Judy Blue, I'd be happy.

MAC should hire me for my great albeit half baked, ideas.

I don't mind perm items in LE collections AS LONG as they are sold as singles. In those cases you can easily decide if you want or need that particular item. It's when those perm items are put into pallets with new LE items that frustrates me, b/c then you feel like you getting stuck with something you might already have just b/c you want to get the new color.

I think I already complained about MAC re-selling the same damn colors. lol Even though we already know this, women will still collect the collection...That's why they're a smart company!
