This reminds me of people that will sell a *picture* of a cell phone; they'll state that you're only bidding on a picture of a phone but then list all the specs of the phone, etc. Then, after the winner has paid $$$ they receive...a picture of the cell phone.

This thread is funny because i used to collect bags from stores when i was a young teenager. I had hundreds of bags from retail shops. Sometimes i would just go in the store and ask for a bag, lol. I never used them and i eventually threw them out. But people will buy anything if you market it right!

Also, when the Xbox first came out, people were just selling an actual box that the Xbox came in. People were paying $800 bucks for just a BOX! Of course they didn't realize that until they received a big empty box.

This reminds of that episode of Mr. Bean....the Christmas one. His gf shows him a window display with a ring in it. So Mr. Bean buys her a pic from the window display of a guy giving a girl the ring. So his gf gets all upset & cries so he pulls out a little ring box.....and inside is a hook to hang the pic! LOL

My dad told me that back in the '80s when VCR's just came out & were super expensive, guys would try to sell them on the street out the back of a van & do it really quickly so they don't get caught. You hand over cash, they hand you a box & take off & when you open your VCR box, all you find are bricks!!!
