I own a fake pink prada bag
I bought it at a thrift shop for seven dollars.
i like it because its big and can hold all my junk (makeup)
and best of all its fake leather too. so no cows were harmed in the making of my ghetto Prada bag

I have 5 real lv bags, it's quite easy for me to tell if someone is carrying a fake - like others have mentioned - I check out their shoes, and what else they are wearing etc - and also - the area you are in is often a give away as to whether they are real or fake.
I don't really care if people think mine are fake, I know that they are real and I saved up for them because I like them and like the history of the company and enjoy shopping in their stores.
I had a fake lv years ago but felt ridiculous walking around with it, it just wasn't me (so I gave it away) - and didn't fit with what I believe in, I believe that fakes are against the law as lvmh employs many many lawyers who write their patents and trademarks to prevent fakes but they are still out there everywhere. I agree there are really good copies, the thing I can't stand is people that are convinced their fake bag is real - because they bought it in hong kong and it was over $100 - wow that sounds authentic - it doesn't even have a dustbag - oh and no actual paper bag from the shop either - some people are easily fooled!

I used to sorta 'judge' people by what they carry and how they dress themselves but it can be quite misleading.

I personally don't like Coach bags b/c its so common. Like everyone from grade school to whatever carries it.

On top of the fact that I don't do logo bags, I wouldn't carry a fake.
I am not a fan of Coach bags either...too many peopl carry them. I would rather have an interesting, no-name leather bag.
Oh, and there are girls around here (very young girls, I might add) that most definitely carry real designer bags (one of my customers bought her daughter a Fendi Spy bag ($2,500 +/-) for her Bat Mitzvah....that was in addition to the Prada bag she bought her for school....this child also has a $15,000 Rolex on her wrist.) You'll see them at the mall, wearing their ratty jeans and flip flops and their $3,000 bags...
