Would you really want to but these products just so you can turn around and make a profit at someone else's exspense. .....

There are more people than you would know who has access to the products before they are even released for preview nights. I used to write for a beauty mag and, I would get collections 2 months before they were released so they would coincide with the item release. MAC is very generous when it comes to product samplings and, it wasn't uncommon to receive half a collection or sometimes a whole collection. Personally, I never sold the items that I got from MAC or any other brand because it would have meant the lost of my job and simply because it would look bad if the brand got back to you and asked for the items back WHICH they sometimes do if the products arent features in the mag.

Now remind me why I quit writing again!?!?!?

Are you talking about the one that went for 79.89 before shipping? Just curious, I won that auction and I don't feel "Two Sandwiches Short Of A Picnic". LOL

I agree with free market. I also don't understand accusations of "jacking up" prices which clearly is a negative term. Should people put brand new items on sale for lower and take a loss? Or what makes you think that people are morally obligated to sell at the exact price the store would have it at? How much of that makes sense?

And also ebay is for BIDDING, the whole bidding system allows the person who wants it the most badly to bid the most and WIN. If they win, are you impying they are a sucker for being taking "advantage" of? They know what they want, they know what they are buying. I'd not go into someone's house, look at their pricey organic food, and call them a sucker to their face or shake my fist at Whole Foods for *daring* to price their groceries higher than Sam's club. People who have the money and the desire shop where they want to, it's a right that I respect, and we should give them enough credit that they know what they are doing with their own money.

Also people need to figure out what the word scam means, to scam someone means to be tricking them. If they sold fakes, didn't ship out and stole money, or did something really dishonest with the shipping that wasn't originally disclosed, or the item was not in the condition discribed, that is scamming. Why the anger at people who sell or who win auctions? It's totally uncalled for. And I don't mean just here, also on MUA. It's just plain silly to have these feelings about other people's business! It's their own business how they sell or how they spend, regardless of whether you approve of it. (general "you")And no, I don't sell on ebay. It's my principle people should keep their noses out *unless* you really think someone is being hurt unknowingly. Anything else is insulting to both the seller and the buyer! Unless your friend says, what do you think about my buying this, then it's polite to not discuss other people's financials, right?
