Hahaha thanks y'alls. But i didnt turn the contrast up, though it looks like it on the stomach. I find that if you turn the contrast up, you dont get ver natural looking segments. So i just guestimate on where to put the blocks of color.

And um, theres really no tips. hahaha But having a Tablet really REALLY helps, and for you un-tech-savvy people, a tablet is like a mousepad, but the mouse is a pen, which allows you to draw and stuff, it makes the computer graphics world ALOT easier.

Nah too lazy too, but one time i had my art stolen, and someone used it in their layout claiming they made it. It got me furious. I've been pretty cautious ever since.

you did a nice job...but how can you be angry with someone for using your artwork when you did the same?

I was just on Livejournal, and I have no idea if this person is you or not, but dyermaker has the middle part of your pic that says "Viva Glam" up as their avitar. Just thought you'd like to know.

THats not part of his illustration- its part of the actual PAM picture.

Dyermaker is MEEE

It's not that i didn't use their artwork. Its the fact that people take it and use it in their things WITHOUT permission. Upon recreating the Pam Ad, i specifically said it was from the Pam Ad from MAC, thus crediting MAC as the creator. HOWEVER, Usually when someone steals art, there is either NO credit, OR they claim to have done it themselves.

Though you may not understand the differences between it. Its more of an artist thing. Its kinda like if you worked hard on something, and someone took it and said they did it.

BEAUTIFUL work on the hair. I would work more on the skin tones though, esp. the tummy... I've been doing a lot of vector art lately and been really looking into buying a tablet... which one do you use? I'm thinking about getting a Wacom but I dont know which yet

That's pretty cool!!
I used to do that sort of thing all the time while I was in school for graphic arts

We actually had assignments to dublicate adds as close as possible to the original, I'd spend hours and hours working on them! It was so much fun, and I actually kind of miss it.
