Early Buzz Regarding MAC Collections/Products Coming in '09 - Discussion

For the holiday collection i think it would be great if instead of the usual smokey eys, cool eyes etc. palettes they had palettes based on characters.

Like the villians palettte could be shimmery dark plum/purples

, blues, and greens.

The princess ones could be light blues, aqua greens, and beiges.

And there definatley has to be some new reflects pigments, and dazzleglasses!

I looked at the looks they were promoting, but I didn't see anything that was new or any buzz about the upcoming collections, but more like the times before where they put together a couple of items, pro and regular to sell on the site. You know, now you can buy Violetta l/s or Naval blue p/m because it's part of the trends, etc.

Is their a past eyeshadow e/s known as Floof?? That name looks odd to me...

If I had to guess, I think they mean Boy Bait was used at Tory Burch's '09 Fall Show. MAC never re-releases products that quickly. Not to say I'm positive it won't happen, but the fall '09 shows coincided with the release of Cremesheen, so that's more likely the reason it was used in her show.

As for "Floof", there's a shadow named "Phloof" that's part of the perm line. Perhaps that's what was meant.

I'm excited about fairytales too, just hope the collection has some substance along with the hype. It seems lately the most excitable collections are the ones that disappoint. Like they bank so much on the hype selling it, they forget about being innovative and giving us unique quality products.

Not to be a downer or anything, sorry! I just can't get too excited yet.

Just so you all know, no news of the all black collection yet.

I did see the June trends face charts and spotlights and one of the looks is edgy and features lot of black products.
