Hi Naynadine, Your welcome for the swatches! I literally busted through our door & immediately plugged up the camera to upload the pictures, so u guys could get ur swatches on! I'm glad I was able to share because I never get the stuff in time to do swatches for you all. Sharing is caring!!! In the case of saving ur money or being on a no buy, maybe you looked at them & hated them & won't waste ur time even seeing these in person, you.'ll forget about them, then 1 year from now, you'll find them in a CCO! I know I thought I could resist, but I wasn't wearing my Captain Restrain cap, as we all know being the leader of team willpower was a total fail. Just looking at those swirls was unbelievable, but seeing is believing so I have a small HC collx. That I haven't even worn because things have really been horrible. Hubs & I r doing a puzzle (i know dork alert, but we actually have the best time doing them & I kept seeing swirls in the damn pieces...Lol. Getting back to Electric Cool shadows, I want to hear what you thought once u saw them in person & what u bought. Did u get any of the Anniversary Sale lip, brush bags or ES palettes. That was a total skip for me! R u still enjoying Fire Sign? Feeling more comfy with reds, I hope? We need to get u goin', so you'll be ready for all the reds coming out soon! J/k...want u to feel comfortable & beautiful.

They all look gorgeous, but nothing is really grabbing me right now! I'm intrigued by Infra-Violet though, so I'll await a swatch of that! I have a feeling that if I'm going to buy any of these, I will probably give in to Infra-Violet and/or Fashion Circuit. 

If I can remember, I'll try to take a picture of InfraViolet. They didn't even have the tester out on this one because it was already sold out! Luckily, my girl hid one away for me. She's so sweet! Fashion Circuit is beautiful too. They are all pretty, who am I kidding? Hopefully when u see these in person & get to feel their texture you'll see what we are talking about, as I find it hard to tell if I'm going to like something from swatches. It will be interesting to see what those of us who have them think after we wear them & all that fun stuff.

Thanks for backing me up Anneri. It's one thing if I ask a stranger for an opinion, but I didn't even say anything to her initially. Its late here & I'm trying to go to bed, so I will post those EL LS swatches as soon as I can! R u interested in either of the colors? Have u worn there LS before? I wore Black Cassis on the way home, in super hot weather, stuck in a traffic jam 4 1.5 hours & the LS held strong! I was happy & impressed! Can't wait to see what they look like in 'normal lighting', as the store lights make everything look so darn different. Let me know what u think of the lippie swatches! Ok, trying to go to bed again. I've worn EL lippies before, but no matte ones. I just got their e/s palette from the sommer collection, the Bronze Goddess one, and just love it. The texture of their e/s (similar to the MAC ES) is to die for.

You're right, that's excatly what I'm trying to tell myself all the time.

I don't have CCOs in my country and I usually have to order online, so it's either ordering online or I'll miss out. (well, I could try ebay or maybe get it in a swap)
The good thing about that is that I don't even know if I missed out on something really good, because I've never seen it in person. Like the Casual Color thingies for example. Would have loved to get one to try the formula, but didn't have the money at the time, and looking back now it's OK that I didn't get any. Because there are so many other great collections/products to look forward to.
So I'll try to resist these even though your swatches are really tempting. It's not like I'm running out of eyeshadows any time soon, LOL.

I'm wearing these again this morning...love them! I applied them without any base, so it'll be a true test....I usually always use tfsi, even with paint pots etc. I used my fingertip on the upper lid to apply superwatt, then applied a little coil on the centre of the lid and blended a little. On the lower lash line I used coil with a brush. The texture was a bit surprising when I dipped the brush into the product! I kind of expected it to be like a moussy kind of thing because of how spongey it felt to the touch, but it was more like pressed pigment...not that I have any pressed pigments, but it just kind of seemed like compacted particles of pigment. I don't have any of the chanel illusion d'ombres or the l'oreal products, but I do have one of the ETK. I can't really compare the textures off hand, but I think as far as colour range goes, these seem a lot more adventurous than the ETK range. I personally did not find there were more than three or four ETK that would work for my skintone and makeup style, whereas I could probably easily see myself wearing all but the super pale one...I guess cost is the other issue...I only have one ETK for a reason! Incidentally, how do the l'oreal products compare to the ETK formula? Reason I ask is that they're the same company so I was wondering if they share formulas too? I'm glad the release of these is staggered between bay/nordstrom and the rest of the mac stores. Hopefully that will give me some time to get a few more colours.

Spanky - That lady you encountered has some nerve. She sounds like she clearly has some feelings of inadequacy or something to feel the need to express her unsolicited negativity. Funny how there are people like that, who think they have the right to give out opinions like that. It's great that you seem to be quick on your feet and give back a quick response. I usually get completely flustered or dumfounded in those situations, where by the time I think of something to say it's way too late and I'm kicking myself. I'd love to see those EL lipsticks too - I hope you post pics. Most other brands tend to fall to the periphery for me, with all these MAC collections coming out I just can't keep up! But I certainly love purple lipsticks!!!

Aradhana, I own both some ETK and some L'Oreal Infallible e/s, and to me they have the same texture. I'd say that the ETKs have more complex colours while the L'Oreals are more monochromatic if this makes sense. For example I've got an emerald Green, a straightforward purple and a dark Blue from the L'Oreal line, which are all beautiful vibrant colours. My khaki and silver from Armani are more unique colourwise, with different coloured pigments that compile the colour you see. Hth!
