Ever Tried to Look Like....?

I can't say that I really pay much attention to celebrities. I don't watch any celebrity tv shows and rarely buy any of those magazines discussing their outfits, makeup, etc.

I sometimes get inspired for makeup looks by fashions ads, or pictures I see on the Internet of work by a famous makeup artist and I try to copy a certain look, but that's about it. There's no "personal" thing behind it at all.

Old post! but yes, I have. I'd do a toned-down version, maybe using the same colors and products but never 100% I'm-exactly-this-person.

Btw, I used to do a volumey-wavy hair, toned-down smokey eye, bronze skin and otherwise neutral look EVERY day in an effort to look like a VS angel.

lol Yes! Kim Kardashian of course for neutral looks and Bollywood actresses because I love how dramatic their makeup is and so vivid. =)

My eye makeup was influenced by Stevie Nicks, who I got to watch apply makeup-she has eyes like mine only darker-with the same shape and hooded lids, and it works great on me. Of course she imitated Dietrich, Garbo, Harlow, Davis, etc..... I have that natural Angelina Jolie look (she will look eactly like me in 15 years I bet), and I wear similar, natural lipstick colours and natural looking eyeshadow shades.I have the same cheekbones so I don't need bronzer or contouring (it would make me look hollow and scary). I've never been influenced by anyone's hairstyle or colour. I'm not very influenced by magazines or celebrities otherwise. I only watch CSI, lol. I like to look at people with similar features and see how they tackle their makeup.... I don't want people to notice my makeup, really.

I really like Rachel McAdam's makeup most of the time, in candid/photoshoot/awards show time as well as her movies. I've only tried to emulate a couple of looks though (from the Notebook, her makeup was flawless in that movie).

For style....I don't really like just one person. I love flipping through magazines and liking things on their own merit.

Well to be honest, I don't think there are really celebs out there who have original/distinct looks in terms of make-up. Mostly, their make-up is put on to compliment their already striking features, etc. I mean if you want to copy a distinct celebrity look, copy Amy Winehouse's lol. She's by far the most original I've seen among our generation of celebs even if it's not in a good way lol.

Okay, I must add MARION COTILLARD now after seeing her at the Oscars and web sleuthing her out. She has similar features to me (full lips, deep set eyes, pale skin, although I am not as nearly as gorgeous as her =]), and she is glamour personified. And her French....I dare to dream that mine sounds that beautiful and lyrical one day.

i'll look to kim kardashian for a smokey eye look with nude lips, but that's about it. i usually get my own looks by experimenting with whats around.

Only ALL the time! My latest attempt is the smoky brown eye Angelina Jolie rocks in "Wanted"...as well as anything she does with her hair, makeup, clothes

If I woke up tomorrow as her, I would NOT be complaining, is all I'm saying.

I also love PinUp girl makeup, and I'll try to copy Masuimi Max, Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page, etc. on a regular basis
