which is better for lining your waterline? and what's the difference (ie. in texture, staying power, etc.) between the two?

i have engraved powerpoint and i'm going to the counter tomorrow...so i'm wondering if i should get an eye kohl as well.

the powerpoints aren't approved for the waterline, so stick with the kohls, or try the new kohl powers. they are awesome on the waterline, especially feline!

softer pencils stay a lot longer on the waterline so kohls are your best bet but nothing will last on there for long...but the softer the pencil the more likely it will percolate down and disperse along the lower lashline

kohl is the best, it stays longer and gives a deep colour. kohl has a softer texture than power points.
go for kohls. HTH

the shimmery eye kohls barely show up on the waterline. for me at least...
plus the non-shimmery ones will run. i ended up with racoon eyes once wearing blooz on my waterline!

The only product I've gotten to stay on my waterline (or even show up) is feline Kohl Power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't MAC Technakhols specifically made to address this issue?

if you havent gone yet I would actully say go with blacktrack fluidline it will stay on for hours without the bad smudging and everything, it might cost a bit more because you'll have to get a brush but I think its worth it in the long run.

the eye kohls are to soft to wear in the water line, but they are still to great to pass up buying but thats just me.

for the waterline i can only rely on the technakohl pencils, feline kohl power just kept smudging too damn much - tho i love the texture of it. i have quite watery eyes!

i have blacktrack but i usually don't wear it on my waterline because it doesn't stay nice and neat for very long on me.

really? thats the only one that stays with me the kohls unless I put the setting power on it will only last about an hour or so without smearing, so I would try something else because gel or liquid are really going to be some of your best bets for staying on the water line

because the kohls sadly by them selfs will not set no matter how long they are on you. just thought you might like to know that.

As erine1881 mention, Powerpoints are NOT safe for use in the water-line. The only three MAC liners that are safe for use in the waterline are Kohls, Tecknakohls and Kohl Power.
I can't tell you how many people I've given thisinformation to at the coutner that respond with things such as "No wonder my eyes hurt all of the time." "No wonder my eyes are dry all of the time." If you use a liner that is not safe for your waterline irritation, infection etc. can occur. One of the major thigns that happens is you tear duct becomes clogged and your eyes become dry and irritated.
Stick with the products that are safe.

Wow, I had no idea that powerpoints weren't safe on the waterline!! I use engraved on my waterline pretty much every day but I've never had any kind of problem before (been doing this for almost a year). I bought mystery kholpower a couple weeks ago but it doesn't stay on AT ALL! I haven't tried feline but I just assume that it'll be the same as mystery so I don't want to bother getting it. I'll give the khols a try, hell, maaaybe feline. I'm running out of engraved anyway.
