Eyes first? -or- Face first? -and- why?

I do most of my face first, then eyes.

When my eyes are done I put on blush and setting powder.

Lips are always last.

face first, some days i wake up early so eyes can be simple or more complex depending on how much time i have.

concealer, foundation, setting the foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, then contouring and blush, then lips. Then fix +. Then out the door. lol

That's what I do too.

Lately, I haven't been wearing much eyeshadow, as the skin around my eyes has been pretty dry, so now I've just started doing my face makeup, lips, and a little mascara for every day. If I'm going somewhere that isn't school, then I'll take more time and do eyeshadow. Even though my skin around my eyes isn't dry anymore, it's hard for me to get inspiration and have enough time to do it before I have to leave for school.

I agree with other 'eye first' gals for fall out reasons, BUT I also agree with an earlier post that I have to do part of my face first. That way if I'm running late, I can cheat with a swipe of studiolights or an MSF to highlight/contour

Contouring is a great way to give more depth or edge to parts of the face. Using a contouring brush to put darker color on the sides of your nose can make it look smaller and more defined. Using contouring below the apples of your cheeks makes your cheeks and face look more defined.

I'm sure there are tuts posted somewhere for more info and a better explanation!

I used to do foudation first, but now that I am into bolder colours and finally trying pigments I get more fallout so I do eyes first.

That's how I feel too! I want my skin to look perfect, even if I have to skip eyes/lips that day. I also like to put eyes and lips on perfected skin. Eyeshadow just looks ugly if it's on ugly skin, right?

I apply face first and eyes/lips afterwards on customers as well.

I ususally do not have alot of fall out anyway.

I do foundation, concealer, powder and eyebrows first. Then I apply my eye make up. Then the blush and a highlighter, lips at last.

It depends really.
Usually face first, but if I'm using dark/bright eyeshadows, especially if they're loose, I'll do my eyes first.
I always do my eyebrows and mascara last though.

I always do face first because I'm afraid that I'll cover up or mess up the work that I just spent like 15 minutes doing on my eyes! lol

I do my eye and other base first but not under my eyes. Then I do eyes, wait for the mascara to dry and comb through the lashes , clean up and cover up the under eye part. This is by far the easiest way - why bother up dusting with powder to prevent loose eyeshadow ruining your make-up when you can do a fresh base after wiping off the muck

Face first, then eyes. I usually do highlighting etc after my eyes so then I can sweep away any fall out under my eyes in the process.

I do my face first just out of habit really and to me that seems to be the most natural way to do it if that makes any sense.
