I left the pigments at work, so I will check first thing in the morning and let you know about the Naked pigment. You are 30 mins ahead of me (adelaide vs Sydney) so it's midnight there... go to bed! (but thank you very very much for stopping by the thread!!)

Im thinking that all of them (with the exception of Shore Leave which was used as comparison) are fake... oh well, you cant win them all!!

I did go to bed straight after I posted that... and slept in because i'd stayed up so late and my alarm didn't go off!

Looking forward to seeing about the Naked...

(And a thank you to Panda for dropping by last night to confirm as well!)

LOL, no need Tish, I have crawled out of it and am slowly coming to some level of conscoiusness....LOLOL!!!

Ok, first things first - ALL the jars have the incorrect base insignia - little bolded numbers in the base - XXX - INCORRECT.... Second, the White gold has a different batch number on the jar to bloody box it came in - and this is the SECOND of this I have seen in the same colour and I physically JHAD IT IN MY HANDS to verify that. Thirdly ALL the base stickers are completely off for fonts, reminds me of the early batches of the fake dark soul, aire de blu etc etc. The top box stickers are crap and the boxes are super scratchy. there are issues with the base UPC stickers as well, and the overall production is super shoddy. The first thing I noticed though base the incorrect base insigina which is verifiable for counterfeits and these are definitely counterfeit. I will try and post some more details later, but right now I am buys with my plumber

I am 100% sure that the 1st e/s is fake.
No batch code on the box, the box says that it was made in ITALY!!!
When does MAC has ever had any products besides mineralized ones made in Italy???
And for the Matte2 e/s, MATTE2 is not written on the same line on the box as eye shadow. I believe that these are written normally in 3 separate lines.
The boxes look really off too and very low quality with the edges not sitting on the box.
Now, more pictures of the e/s opened would be helpful.
I'd like to see the back and the little lid to look for scratches there.

I'm quite sure that I have a couple of non-mineralized authentic items that are made in Italy? I can't say which ones, I'm just sure that I do (I'll have to go through my boxes to check). Also, as far as I know anyway, the Matte² e/s has the name printed in the same way as the one to the left. In two lines, not three. I do agree is fake though.

The e/s in the middle is a certain fake. I have one just like it, it's going in the trash where it belongs.

Thank you! I've never been so happy to hear a pigment was fake in my life. Her White Gold is packaged the same as my Silver Fog. The boxes on this punk passed scratching and matched bottle wise to the batch number. You guys are great for being able to notice the tiniest flaw. Panda, is it possible that they're targeting out Pro pigments? I just looked up Clear Sky Blue, French Violet, Polished Ivory and Circa Plum because of the TOD beside their names and saw listings available. I'm not questioning one seller because I've seen so many vouch for her but what about the others floating around? I'd like you to take a look at a sellers' photos because they're detailed but don't want to put it here on this thread...they have 6 colors available and they're only pro colors. Thank you if you can help and I am fighting urges to buy Teal as we speak but no TOD yet so I'll run to a counter. XD

I dont think they are targeting pro colours specifically - I have seen fakes in almost every pigment colour made to date, but they do usually circulate in *groups* of colours. We used to have a list of fake colours but seriously thre is no point in doing that any more because there are fakes is pretty much ALL of them. The fake mattes were being flogged last year in a pretty large group of colours and have been doing the rounds for quite some time actually. Other frosts like Your Ladyship have been faked as well, along with Sweet Sienna - it wont be long before we start seeing newer colours like Milk being counterfeited too.

The White Gold here is definitely fake, they all are. Like I said the base hallmarks are the first and completely verifiable clue that these are counterfeit, but the rest of the packaging confirms it as well.

I found a seller with the Teal I'm lusting after but all of his/her listings are pro colors and I'm going to ask if anyone's bought from hnm870113 or could take a look at this listing : BNIB MAC Pigment in Teal FULL SIZE - eBay (item 260399974083 end time May-25-09 15:26:19 PDT) . I looked at the listing and clicked the youtube link for the guru with make up tutorials and was curious where they stood with Specktra. I've seen a lot of the gurus' videos used in places other than youtube lately and was wondering if I should drop the girl a message asking if she's affiliated with the Ebay user ID and give her heads up if she's not. If you all know of her, let me know so I don't bother with the message. Thanks to anybody who knows.

* Contacted seller via youtube and these are her listings and was very polite about me letting her know about the Ebay listing. Was very thankful that someone messaged her and hopes people keep her updated if vids show up without her consent.
