Looking great for a first try! Next time I'd cut down on the amount of lipgelee, or maybe even it out a bit. Also, bruises are usually a little more mottled and less even in colour. Should look good once you get your hands on some purple.

If you're ever looking at doing SFX, Kryolan does a great bruise wheel.
