Graduated yesterday... yay I guess. (I really wasn't too excited for it since my dad ruined the mood by saying that I'll be worthless and a loser that doesn't deserve anything if I don't graduate college... ON THE VIDEO RECORDING. And never congratulated me once for completing high school... and compared me with the other kids who got the big awards with 4.7 GPAs, saying I wasn't good enough... and made me teary eyed, frustrated as hell, cursing like there's no tomorrow, that almost ruined my makeup right before graduation... yeah FUCK YOU)

Anyway... on to the FOTD shall we?

Aww, don't sweat it babe. I'm sure even though he said all of those things, deep down inside he was truly proud of you. Parents are just like that. Even if you graduate high school with a perfect GPA and go to Harvard, they'll still compare to you someone else. -_-;; But like I said, don't worry about it and just enjoy your summer!

About your dad, don't worry the parents always want the best for us, and they push us for it..( sorry, I don't know if this is what I mean ..hehe)...I just had a disscution with my mom...she wont forgive me for quit medical school and that was mmm..... 10 years ago... I have another degree now in Human Resourses, but you know it's never enough

Finally, live for yourself. Don't spend your life trying to constantly prove to anyone how much you're 'worth'. Set the goals you choose to set by your own standards, not by anyone else's, ever. You've worked hard, keep working hard, and be proud of everything you accomplish, everyone else be damned.
